Zechariah Chapter 9
The vibes of the Lord’s message hit different in Hadrach, with Damascus just chillin’; all the homies of Israel got their eyes on the Lord, no cap.
The burden of the word of the LORD in the land of Hadrach, and Damascus {shall be} the rest thereof: when the eyes of man, as of all the tribes of Israel, {shall be} toward the LORD.
Hamath’s also in the mix; Tyrus and Zidon are mad wise, periodt.
And Hamath also shall border thereby; Tyrus, and Zidon, though it be very wise.
Tyrus crafted a fortress, stacking silver like it’s nothing and gold like it’s just dirt in the streets, fr.
And Tyrus did build herself a strong hold, and heaped up silver as the dust, and fine gold as the mire of the streets.
But peep this, the Lord’s gonna kick her out and wreck her power in the sea; she’s gonna get burned, savage.
Behold, the Lord will cast her out, and he will smite her power in the sea; and she shall be devoured with fire.
Ashkelon’s gonna peep it and lose it; Gaza’s gonna see it and be all bummed, plus Ekron; their hopes are gonna get crushed, and Gaza’s king is done for, while Ashkelon’s gonna be empty.
Ashkelon shall see {it}, and fear; Gaza also {shall see it}, and be very sorrowful, and Ekron; for her expectation shall be ashamed; and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.
A random dude’s gonna chill in Ashdod, and I’m taking away the Philistines’ pride, no cap.
And a bastard shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines.
I’ll pull the blood from his mouth and the trash from his teeth; but the one who sticks around will be for our God, like a boss in Judah, and Ekron’s gonna be like a Jebusite.
And I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth: but he that remaineth, even he, {shall be} for our God, and he shall be as a governor in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite. {blood: Heb. bloods}
I’m setting up shop around my crib ‘cause of the crew, for those passing by and coming back; no oppressors gonna roll through anymore, ‘cause I’ve seen it with my own eyes.
And I will encamp about mine house because of the army, because of him that passeth by, and because of him that returneth: and no oppressor shall pass through them any more: for now have I seen with mine eyes.
Big hype, daughter of Zion; shout out, daughter of Jerusalem: your King is rolling up to you, just and bringing salvation, lowkey riding on a donkey, a colt too, that’s fire.
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he {is} just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass. {having...: or, saving himself}
I’m cutting off the chariot from Ephraim and the horse from Jerusalem; the battle bow's out, and he’s gonna drop peace for the nations; his vibe’s gonna spread from sea to sea, and everywhere else, no cap.
And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen: and his dominion {shall be} from sea {even} to sea, and from the river {even} to the ends of the earth.
And for you, by the blood of your covenant, I’m sending your crew outta the dry pit.
As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein {is} no water. {by...: or, whose covenant is by blood}
Turn to the stronghold, hope squad; today I’m saying I’ll double your blessings, bet.
Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare {that} I will render double unto thee;
When I’ve bent Judah for me, loaded the bow with Ephraim, and raised your kids, O Zion, against Greece’s crew, you’ll be like the sword of a champ.
When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man.
The Lord will show up for them, and his arrow’s gonna strike like lightning; God’s gonna blow the trumpet and move with whirlwinds from the south, fr.
And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord GOD shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.
The Lord of hosts got their back; they’ll munch and conquer with slings; they’ll sip and vibe like they’re partying with wine, getting filled like bowls, and corners of the altar.
The LORD of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, {and} make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, {and} as the corners of the altar. {with...: or, the stones of the sling} {be...: or, fill both the bowls, etc}
The Lord their God’s gonna save them like a flock, ‘cause they’ll be like the stones of a crown, raised up as a banner on his land.
And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they {shall be as} the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land.
For real, his goodness is on another level, and his beauty’s on point! Corn’s gonna make the young men hype, and new wine’s gonna have the girls vibing.
For how great {is} his goodness, and how great {is} his beauty! corn shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the maids. {cheerful: or, grow, or, speak}
