Zechariah Chapter 10
So, hit up the Lord for that late-season rain; He’s gonna send some dope clouds and bless everyone, making the grass really pop.
Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; {so} the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field. {bright...: or, lightnings}
The idols are just spitting straight nonsense, and the diviners are totally lying, serving fake dreams; they’re just vibing for nothing, rolling out like a lost crew, feeling super sus without a leader.
For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because {there was} no shepherd. {idols: Heb. teraphims} {were...: or, answered that, etc}
I was heated with the shepherds and handled the goats; the Lord checked in on His squad, the house of Judah, boosting them like a legendary horse in the fight.
Mine anger was kindled against the shepherds, and I punished the goats: for the LORD of hosts hath visited his flock the house of Judah, and hath made them as his goodly horse in the battle. {punished: Heb. visited upon}
From Him came the foundation stone, the nail, the battle bow, and every oppressor combined, no cap.
Out of him came forth the corner, out of him the nail, out of him the battle bow, out of him every oppressor together.
They’ll be like fierce warriors, smashing their foes in the streets during the brawl; they’ll go hard ‘cause the Lord’s got their back, and the riders on horses will be shook.
And they shall be as mighty {men}, which tread down {their enemies} in the mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight, because the LORD {is} with them, and the riders on horses shall be confounded. {the riders...: or, they shall make the riders on horses ashamed}
I’ll uplift the house of Judah and rescue the house of Joseph, bringing them back to their place; I’m all about that mercy: they’ll vibe like I never ghosted them, ‘cause I’m their Lord, and I’m listening.
And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I {am} the LORD their God, and will hear them.
Ephraim will flex like a champ, and their hearts will be on fire like they just sipped some bomb wine; their kiddos will witness it and be super hyped; their hearts will be all in for the Lord.
And {they of} Ephraim shall be like a mighty {man}, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: yea, their children shall see {it}, and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the LORD.
I’ll call them up and gather them; I’ve saved them, and they’ll grow just like before.
I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased.
I’ll plant them among the nations; they’ll remember me from way out and live with their kids, making a solid comeback.
And I will sow them among the people: and they shall remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and turn again.
I’ll bring them back from Egypt and gather them from Assyria; I’ll lead them to Gilead and Lebanon, and they’ll be so blessed, there won’t even be enough space for them.
I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and {place} shall not be found for them.
He’ll roll through the sea with struggles, smashing the waves hard, and all the river’s depths will dry up; the pride of Assyria will be taken down, and Egypt’s power will fade away.
And he shall pass through the sea with affliction, and shall smite the waves in the sea, and all the deeps of the river shall dry up: and the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, and the sceptre of Egypt shall depart away.
I’ll give them power in the Lord; they’ll walk around in His name, says the Lord.
And I will strengthen them in the LORD; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the LORD.
