Romans Chapter 13
Every person needs to vibe with the higher authorities, since no authority exists that isn’t from God: those in charge are set up by Him.
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. {ordained: or, ordered}
So if you’re about to push back against the authority, you’re basically pushing back against what God established; and those who do will deal with the fallout, no cap.
Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
Leaders ain’t a danger to the solid folks, only to the shady ones. So, if you’re not trying to be sus, do good and you’ll earn some serious respect.
For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
He’s like God’s right-hand for your good vibes; but if you’re being wicked, be careful, 'cause he’s not just flexing that sword for kicks.
For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to {execute} wrath upon him that doeth evil.
So you gotta fall in line, not just 'cause you’re scared, but 'cause it’s the right move to make, fr.
Wherefore {ye} must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
That’s why you gotta handle your taxes too, 'cause they’re part of God’s team, always grinding on this.
For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
Make sure to give each person what’s rightfully theirs: taxes where taxes are due; respect where respect is due; fear where fear is due; honor where honor is due.
Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute {is due}; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.
Don’t owe anyone anything except love, 'cause loving others is how you keep the law fire.
Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
For real, don’t cheat, don’t kill, don’t steal, don’t lie, don’t be jealous; and all those other rules come down to this: love your neighbor like you love yourself.
For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if {there be} any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Love doesn’t mess with your neighbor, so love is how you keep the law intact, periodt.
Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love {is} the fulfilling of the law.
And knowing the vibes, it’s definitely time to wake up: our salvation is closer than when we first believed, fr.
And that, knowing the time, that now {it is} high time to awake out of sleep: for now {is} our salvation nearer than when we believed.
The night’s nearly over, daylight is coming: let’s bounce from the dark vibes and put on the armor of light.
The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
Let’s walk for real, like it’s daytime; not in rowdy parties or drunkenness, not in shady dealings or envy.
Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. {honestly: or, decently}
But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and don’t plan for the flesh to satisfy those cravings, that’s just sus.
But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to {fulfil} the lusts {thereof}.
