Psalms Chapter 91
Chillin' in the secret spot with the Most High means you’ll be vibin' in the shade of the Almighty.
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. {abide: Heb. lodge}
So, I’m saying that the Lord’s my secure zone and my stronghold; I trust Him, no cap.
I will say of the LORD, {He is} my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
For real, He’s gonna rescue you from the trap set by hunters and all that sketchy stuff.
Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, {and} from the noisome pestilence.
He’s got your back, shielding you with His feathers; trust Him, His truth is your armor, periodt.
He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth {shall be thy} shield and buckler.
Don’t get shook by the nighttime fears or the arrows that fly during the day;
Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; {nor} for the arrow {that} flieth by day;
Or the sickness that sneaks in the dark, or the chaos that drops at noon.
{Nor} for the pestilence {that} walketh in darkness; {nor} for the destruction {that} wasteth at noonday.
Even if a thousand fall beside you, ten thousand on your right, you’re just chillin'; it won’t phase you.
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; {but} it shall not come nigh thee.
You’ll only catch it with your eyes and witness the karma coming for the wicked.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
Since you made the Lord your safe haven, the Most High your crib;
Because thou hast made the LORD, {which is} my refuge, {even} the most High, thy habitation;
No bad vibes will roll your way, no plague will crash at your spot.
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
He’s dispatching His angels to look out for you, keeping you on point in all your steps.
For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
They’ll lift you up so you won’t stumble on a stone, fr.
They shall bear thee up in {their} hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
You’ll step on lions and snakes; young lions and dragons won’t stand a chance against you.
Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. {adder: or, asp}
Since you’ve shown love to me, I’m here for you: I’ll elevate you 'cause you know my name.
Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
When you hit me up, I’ll respond; I’ll be right there in your struggles, saving and honoring you.
He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I {will be} with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
I’ll hook you up with long life and show you my salvation, no cap.
With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. {long...: Heb. length of days}
