Psalms Chapter 72
Ayo, God, hit us with those king vibes and bless the king's kid with your charm.
[{A Psalm} for Solomon.] Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king's son. {for: or, of}
He’s gonna handle the crew with justice and keep an eye on the underdogs, no cap.
He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment.
The mountains are set to bring those chill vibes, while the hills are about that righteousness.
The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.
He’ll check on the needy and rescue the little ones, totally flipping the script on the oppressors.
He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.
They’ll show him respect for as long as the sun and moon are shining, throughout all ages, fr.
They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.
He’s gonna come through like rain on fresh turf, drenching the earth in goodness.
He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers {that} water the earth.
During his time, the righteous are gonna be flourishing, and peace will be everywhere as long as the moon’s up.
In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth. {so long...: Heb. till there be no moon}
He’ll reign from ocean to ocean, all the way to the ends of the world, truly goated.
He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.
People in the wild will bow to him; his foes will be down and out, periodt.
They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust.
Kings from Tarshish and the islands will pull up with gifts; the kings of Sheba and Seba will be bringing offerings too.
The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.
No doubt, all the kings will bow, and every nation will serve him, no cap.
Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.
He’ll rescue the needy when they shout; he’s got the down-and-out covered, fr.
For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and {him} that hath no helper.
He’ll show love to the poor and the needy, saving their souls like an absolute boss.
He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.
He’ll save them from deceit and violence; their blood will be valued in his sight, for real.
He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.
He’s gonna live, and they’ll shower him with that Sheba gold; prayers will be popping off for him nonstop, and he’ll get all the hype.
And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; {and} daily shall he be praised. {shall be given: Heb. one shall give}
There’ll be a little bit of corn on the mountaintops; the fruit will sway like Lebanon, and the city will thrive like grass.
There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and {they} of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.
His name’s gonna be eternal; it’ll shine as long as the sun, and people will be blessed through him, all nations calling him blessed.
His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and {men} shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed. {endure: Heb. be} {his name shall be...: Heb. shall be as a son to continue his father's name for ever}
Major props to the Lord God, the God of Israel, who’s out here doing incredible stuff, fr.
Blessed {be} the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.
And let his glorious name be honored forever; may the whole planet be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.
And blessed {be} his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled {with} his glory; Amen, and Amen.
And that’s a wrap on the prayers of David, the son of Jesse.
The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended.
