Psalms Chapter 71
I’m putting my faith in you, Lord, no cap; don’t let me vibe with confusion.
In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.
Rescue me with your charm, Lord; hear my plea and help me escape this chaos.
Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me.
You’re my solid ground, where I can chill; you got my back, ’cause you’re my fortress and strength.
Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou {art} my rock and my fortress. {Be...: Heb. Be thou to me for a rock of habitation}
Save me, God, from the wicked and the savage folks trying to bring me down.
Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.
You’re my hope, Lord God; I’ve been trusting you since the jump, fr.
For thou {art} my hope, O Lord GOD: {thou art} my trust from my youth.
You’ve been my support since day one; my praise for you is gonna go on forever.
By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: my praise {shall be} continually of thee.
I’m a whole vibe to many, but you’re my true sanctuary.
I am as a wonder unto many; but thou {art} my strong refuge.
Fill my mouth with your praise and glory every single day, periodt.
Let my mouth be filled {with} thy praise {and with} thy honour all the day.
Don’t ditch me in my old age; don’t leave me when I’m struggling.
Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.
My foes are talking smack about me, scheming against my spirit.
For mine enemies speak against me; and they that lay wait for my soul take counsel together, {lay...: Heb. watch, or, observe}
They’re saying you’ve ghosted me; come for him, 'cause no one’s around to save him.
Saying, God hath forsaken him: persecute and take him; for {there is} none to deliver {him}.
Yo God, don’t be distant from me; come through and help me out!
O God, be not far from me: O my God, make haste for my help.
Let my enemies be shamed; cover them with disgrace for trying to harm me.
Let them be confounded {and} consumed that are adversaries to my soul; let them be covered {with} reproach and dishonour that seek my hurt.
But I’m gonna keep hoping and praising you endlessly.
But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.
My mouth will proclaim your righteousness and salvation all day long; I can’t even keep track of it.
My mouth shall shew forth thy righteousness {and} thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers {thereof}.
I’m rolling in the power of the Lord God, mentioning your justice constantly.
I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of thy righteousness, {even} of thine only.
You’ve taught me since I was young, and I’ve shared your incredible works.
O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.
Even when I’m old and gray, don’t ditch me, God; I wanna show your might to the next generation.
Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto {this} generation, {and} thy power to every one {that} is to come. {when...: Heb. unto old age and gray hairs} {thy strength: Heb. thine arm}
Your righteousness is fire, God; you’ve done legendary things; who compares to you?
Thy righteousness also, O God, {is} very high, who hast done great things: O God, who {is} like unto thee!
You’ve put me through hard times, but you’ll lift me up again from the low points.
{Thou}, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth.
You’re gonna elevate my greatness and comfort me all around.
Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.
I’ll praise you with the lyre, keeping it real with your truth, God; I’ll sing with the harp, Holy One of Israel.
I will also praise thee with the psaltery, {even} thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel. {the psaltery: Heb. the instrument of psaltery}
My lips will be hyped when I sing to you; my soul, which you’ve redeemed.
My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed.
My tongue will speak of your righteousness all day; my enemies are gonna be confused and ashamed for trying to hurt me.
My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt.
