Psalms Chapter 64
Yo God, listen to my plea and keep me safe from the enemies' energy.
[To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.] Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
Keep me on the down-low from the wicked's hidden moves; they be scheming hard.
Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:
They detail their words like daggers and get their bows ready to throw shade, fr.
Who whet their tongue like a sword, {and} bend {their bows to shoot} their arrows, {even} bitter words:
They go off in secret against the perfect ones; they take their shot without a care.
That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.
They pump each other up for shady plans, thinking no one’s peeping, sus.
They encourage themselves {in} an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them? {matter: or, speech} {of...: Heb. to hide his snares}
They dig deep for the dirt; everyone’s minds and hearts are a bit wild.
They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward {thought} of every one {of them}, and the heart, {is} deep. {they...: or, we are consumed by that which they have throughly searched} {a diligent...: Heb. a search searched}
But God’s about to drop an arrow on them; they’ll get wrecked outta the blue.
But God shall shoot at them {with} an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded. {shall they...: Heb. their wound shall be}
Their own chatter will snag them; everyone checking this will dip.
So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.
Folks will be stunned and see God’s moves; they’ll reconsider, no cap.
And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.
The righteous will be vibing with the Lord and placing their trust in Him; all the real ones will shine.
The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.
