Psalms Chapter 62
Honestly, my soul is just vibing with God; that’s where my rescue’s at.
[To the chief Musician, to Jeduthun, A Psalm of David.] Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him {cometh} my salvation. {Truly: or, Only} {waiteth: Heb. is silent}
He’s my fortress and my deliverance; my protection, and I'm staying put, no cap.
He only {is} my rock and my salvation; {he is} my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. {defence: Heb. high place}
For real, how long you gonna scheme against a dude? You’re about to be taken down, like a wobbly wall or a flimsy fence.
How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall {shall ye be, and as} a tottering fence.
They just wanna bring him down from his peak; they roll with lies, bless with their words but curse in their hearts. Selah.
They only consult to cast {him} down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah. {inwardly: Heb. in their inward parts}
My soul, just chill and wait on God; my hope is totally from him, no doubt.
My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation {is} from him.
He’s my fortress and my deliverance; my guard, and I’m rock solid, fr.
He only {is} my rock and my salvation: {he is} my defence; I shall not be moved.
In God is my salvation and my pride; the rock of my strength and my haven, that's God.
In God {is} my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, {and} my refuge, {is} in God.
Always trust him, fam; spill your feelings to him: God’s our safe space. Selah.
Trust in him at all times; {ye} people, pour out your heart before him: God {is} a refuge for us. Selah.
For real, low-key people are just a joke, and high-key folks are fake; if you weigh them out, they’re lighter than a shadow.
Surely men of low degree {are} vanity, {and} men of high degree {are} a lie: to be laid in the balance, they {are} altogether {lighter} than vanity. {altogether: or, alike}
Don’t rely on oppression, and steer clear of stealing; if you get rich, don’t let your heart chase that money.
Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart {upon them}.
God's dropped it once; I’ve caught it twice: power belongs to God, for sure.
God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power {belongeth} unto God. {power: or, strength}
Also, Lord, mercy belongs to you; you reward everyone based on their actions.
Also unto thee, O Lord, {belongeth} mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.
