Psalms Chapter 61
Ayo, God, I’m out here straight sobbing; peep my call.
[To the chief Musician upon Neginah, {A Psalm} of David.] Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.
From the farthest corners, I’m reaching out when my heart’s weighed down: lead me to that solid ground, no cap.
From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock {that} is higher than I.
You’ve been my sanctuary, like a fortified tower against the haters.
For thou hast been a shelter for me, {and} a strong tower from the enemy.
I’m gonna chill in your presence forever: I vibe under your wings, periodt.
I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah. {trust: or, make my refuge}
Ayo, God, you caught my promises: you’ve blessed me with the heritage of those who honor your name.
For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given {me} the heritage of those that fear thy name.
You’re gonna keep the king around for a long while: his years gonna stretch like, mad generations.
Thou wilt prolong the king's life: {and} his years as many generations. {Thou...: Heb. Thou shalt add days to the days of the king} {as...: Heb. as generation and generation}
He’s gonna stay lit in front of God forever: make sure that mercy and truth are ready to guard him.
He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, {which} may preserve him.
So I’ll be vibing and praising your name forever, to keep my promises on the daily.
So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.
