Psalms Chapter 60
Ayo God, you kinda left us on read, scattered us, and that’s mad sus; can you pull up for us again?
[To the chief Musician upon Shushaneduth, Michtam of David, to teach; when he strove with Aramnaharaim and with Aramzobah, when Joab returned, and smote of Edom in the valley of salt twelve thousand.] O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us, thou hast been displeased; O turn thyself to us again. {Michtam: or, A golden Psalm} {scattered: Heb. broken}
You made the ground rumble, broke it down; patch the cracks, it’s vibing too hard out here.
Thou hast made the earth to tremble; thou hast broken it: heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh.
You showed your peeps some crazy signs; we’re sipping on the juice of shock, no cap.
Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.
You handed a banner to those who respect you, so they can wave it for the truth. Selah.
Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.
Let your chosen ones be rescued; come through with your right hand, and hear us out.
That thy beloved may be delivered; save {with} thy right hand, and hear me.
God spoke in His sacredness; I’m pumped, I’ll split Shechem and measure the valley of Succoth.
God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.
Gilead's my crew, Manasseh’s with us too; Ephraim’s my power, and Judah’s my rule-maker, fr.
Gilead {is} mine, and Manasseh {is} mine; Ephraim also {is} the strength of mine head; Judah {is} my lawgiver;
Moab’s my mop bucket; I’ll toss my shoe over Edom: Philistia, celebrate on my behalf.
Moab {is} my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe: Philistia, triumph thou because of me. {triumph...: or, triumph thou over me: (by an irony}
Who’s gonna take me into the fortified city? Who’s leading me into Edom?
Who will bring me {into} the strong city? who will lead me into Edom? {strong...: Heb. city of strength?}
You won’t, God, who ghosted us? You didn’t roll with our squad?
{Wilt} not thou, O God, {which} hadst cast us off? and {thou}, O God, {which} didst not go out with our armies?
Help us out of this mess; man's help is straight up not it, periodt.
Give us help from trouble: for vain {is} the help of man. {help of man: Heb. salvation, etc}
With God, we’re gonna pop off; He’s the one who’ll crush our enemies.
Through God we shall do valiantly: for he {it is that} shall tread down our enemies.
