Psalms Chapter 50
So the big guy, the Lord, just dropped some words and called out to the earth from dawn to dusk. Vibes.
[A Psalm of Asaph.] The mighty God, {even} the LORD, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof. {of...: or, for Asaph}
From Zion, where the aesthetic's fire, God’s light is shining bright.
Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.
God literally rolled up, and He’s not holding back: fire’s about to consume, and the energy’s mad around Him.
Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.
He’s calling up to the skies and down to the ground to judge His squad.
He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.
Bring my crew to me; those who made a deal with me through sacrifice, bet.
Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.
The heavens are gonna spill the truth: God’s the ultimate boss, periodt.
And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God {is} judge himself. Selah.
Hey, my people, pay attention; Israel, I’m about to drop the knowledge: I’m God, your God.
Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I {am} God, {even} thy God.
I’m not gonna call you out on your sacrifices or burnt offerings; they’ve been fire in my sight.
I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, {to have been} continually before me.
I ain’t taking no bulls from your pad, or goats from your herd, no cap.
I will take no bullock out of thy house, {nor} he goats out of thy folds.
Every creature in the woods is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills? All mine, for real.
For every beast of the forest {is} mine, {and} the cattle upon a thousand hills.
I know all the birds in the hills, and the wild animals? They’re mine too.
I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field {are} mine. {mine: Heb. with me}
If I was hungry, I wouldn’t even hit you up; the world is mine, and everything in it, fr.
If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world {is} mine, and the fulness thereof.
Am I gonna munch on bulls or sip goat blood? That’s sus.
Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?
Bring your gratitude to God and keep it 100 with the Most High, that slaps.
Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:
Call on me when you’re in a bind; I got your back, and you'll give me mad props.
And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.
But to the wicked, God’s like, what’s up with you spewing my rules, or using my covenant for clout?
But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or {that} thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?
You can't stand instruction and throw my words behind you, savage.
Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.
When you peeped a thief, you rolled with him, and you’ve been chillin’ with cheaters.
When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers. {hast...: Heb. thy portion was with}
You’re spreading shade with your mouth, and your tongue’s crafting straight-up lies.
Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit. {givest: Heb. sendest}
You sit there dissing your bro; you’re trashing your own mama’s kid.
Thou sittest {and} speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother's son.
You’ve done all this, and I’ve been low-key; you thought I was just like you, but I’m about to call you out and lay it all bare.
These {things} hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether {such an one} as thyself: {but} I will reprove thee, and set {them} in order before thine eyes.
Now reflect on this, you who forget God, or I’ll tear you apart, and no one will save you.
Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear {you} in pieces, and {there be} none to deliver.
Whoever vibes with me is gonna get the glory, and to those who keep it real with their words, I’ll show them God’s salvation.
Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth {his} conversation {aright} will I shew the salvation of God. {that...: Heb. that disposeth his way}
