Psalms Chapter 43
Ayo, God, judge me and back me up against this whack nation: rescue me from these shady, deceitful folks.
Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man. {ungodly: or, unmerciful} {the deceitful...: Heb. a man of deceit and iniquity}
You’re my power, God, so why you acting distant? Why am I out here feeling low because of my haters?
For thou {art} the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
Drop your light and truth, fam: let them guide me to your sacred spot and your chill zone.
O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.
Then I’ll show up at God’s altar, the source of my happiness: no cap, I’ll vibe with you on my harp, God.
Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God. {my exceeding...: Heb. the gladness of my joy}
Why you feeling down, my soul? Why you so rattled inside? Place your hope in God, ‘cause I’m still gonna praise him, he’s my vibe and my dude.
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, {who is} the health of my countenance, and my God.
