Psalms Chapter 42
My soul's out here craving you, God, just like a deer hustling for water. No cap.
[To the chief Musician, Maschil, for the sons of Korah.] As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. {Maschil...: or, A Psalm giving instruction of the sons, etc} {panteth: Heb. brayeth}
Honestly, I'm yearning for God, the real deal: when can I roll through and vibe with Him?
My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?
My tears are my snack 24/7, while everyone keeps asking, "Where's your God at though?"
My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where {is} thy God?
When I reflect on all this, I pour out my soul; I used to vibe with the homies, heading to God's crib, all joy and praise, straight-up lit times.
When I remember these {things}, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.
Why you feeling down, soul? Why the stress? Just put your hope in God: I'm about to praise Him for His solid vibes.
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and {why} art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him {for} the help of his countenance. {cast: Heb. bowed} {praise: or, give thanks} {for the...: or, his presence is salvation}
Ayo, my soul’s feeling weighed down, so I'm gonna remember you, God, from the Jordan and Hermonites, up on Mizar hill.
O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar. {the hill...: or, the little hill}
Deep calls to deep with the sound of your waves: all your vibes and billows are crashing down on me.
Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
But the Lord’s got my back with love during the day, and at night, His song’s vibing with me, plus my prayers to the God of my life.
{Yet} the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night his song {shall be} with me, {and} my prayer unto the God of my life.
I'm gonna hit up God, my rock, and ask, "Why you ghosting me? Why I gotta be sad because of my enemies?"
I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
It feels like my enemies are taking shots at my bones; they keep asking me daily, "Where's your God at?"
{As} with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where {is} thy God? {sword: or, killing}
Why you feeling down, soul? What's with the stress? Just put your hope in God: I'm about to praise Him; He’s my glow-up and my God.
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, {who is} the health of my countenance, and my God.
