Psalms Chapter 27
The Lord is my vibe and my savior; who even cares? He’s my strength; who’s got me shook?
[{A Psalm} of David.] The LORD {is} my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD {is} the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
When my haters rolled up to try and take me down, they stumbled and fell, no cap.
When the wicked, {even} mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. {came...: Heb. approached against me}
Even if a crew rolls up against me, I ain’t scared: even if war pops off, I’m still confident, fr.
Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this {will} I {be} confident.
One thing I’m after from the Lord, I’m chasing it hard; I wanna vibe in His house forever and peep His beauty, periodt.
One {thing} have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. {the beauty: or, the delight}
In tough times, He’s got my back in His safe space; in His secret spot, He’s shielding me, placing me on solid ground.
For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
Now my head’s held high above my foes; I’m dropping joy vibes in His house and singing praises to the Lord, it’s lit.
And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD. {joy: Heb. shouting}
Yo, Lord, when I’m calling out, hear me: show me mercy and hit me back.
Hear, O LORD, {when} I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
When You said, 'Seek My face,' my heart was like, 'Bet, I’m all in.'
{When thou saidst}, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek. {When...: or, My heart said unto thee, Let my face seek thy face, etc}
Don’t hide Your face from me; don’t ghost me in anger: You’ve always been my help; don’t dip on me, O God of my salvation.
Hide not thy face {far} from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.
If my fam bounces on me, the Lord’s gonna scoop me up.
When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up. {take...: Heb. gather me}
Show me Your ways, Lord, and guide me on a straight path because of my enemies.
Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies. {a plain...: Heb. a way of plainness} {mine...: Heb. those which observe me}
Don’t hand me over to my enemies’ schemes: fake friends are coming at me, and they’re being straight-up savage.
Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.
I would’ve been done for if I didn’t believe I’d see the Lord’s goodness while I’m still alive.
{I had fainted}, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
Just chill on the Lord: be brave, and He’ll boost your heart: wait, I’m saying it again, chill on the Lord.
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
