Psalms Chapter 28
I'm reaching out to you, God, my solid rock; please don’t leave me hanging: if you do, I might just vibe down to the abyss.
[{A Psalm} of David.] Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, {if} thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit. {to me: Heb. from me}
Hear my shouts when I hit you up, when I raise my hands to your holy place.
Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle. {thy...: or, the oracle of thy sanctuary}
Don’t throw me in with the shady homies, the ones who seem chill but got sus energy in their hearts.
Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief {is} in their hearts.
Hand them the consequences they’ve earned; let them feel the weight of their own actions.
Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert.
Since they’re clueless about what the Lord does or his moves, he's gonna take them down, not uplift them.
Because they regard not the works of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands, he shall destroy them, and not build them up.
Major props to the Lord, 'cause he listened to my shouts.
Blessed {be} the LORD, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications.
The Lord's my power and my defense; I have faith in him, and he’s got my back: I’m pumped in my soul, and I’ll sing my vibes.
The LORD {is} my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
The Lord is their power and the ultimate savior for his squad.
The LORD {is} their strength, and he {is} the saving strength of his anointed. {their: or, his} {saving...: Heb. strength of salvations}
Rescue your people, and bless your crew: nourish them and raise them up for eternity.
Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever. {feed: or, rule}
