Psalms Chapter 20
When times get tough, the Lord's got your back; Jacob’s God is your protector, fr.
[To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.] The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee; {defend...: Heb. set thee on an high place}
He’s dispatching help straight from the sanctuary, lifting you up from Zion, no cap.
Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion; {thee help: Heb. thy help} {strengthen: Heb. support}
Don’t sleep on your offerings, He’s totally vibing with your sacrifices; Selah.
Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah. {accept: Heb. turn to ashes: or, make fat}
He’ll provide what your heart longs for and make your plans pop off, bet.
Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.
We’re gonna hype up your salvation, and in our God’s name, we’ll wave our banners: the Lord’s gonna deliver on all your asks.
We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up {our} banners: the LORD fulfil all thy petitions.
Now I’m convinced that the Lord saves His chosen ones; He hears them from the heavens with mad power from His right hand.
Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand. {his holy...: Heb. the heaven of his holiness} {with...: Heb. by the strength of the salvation of}
Some folks trust in chariots, others in horses, but we’re all about remembering the name of the Lord our God.
Some {trust} in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.
They’re down bad, but we’re rising up and standing strong, periodt.
They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.
Save us, Lord: let the king vibe with us when we call out.
Save, LORD: let the king hear us when we call.
