Psalms Chapter 19
The heavens showcase the glory of God; the vibes flaunt His handiwork.
[To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.] The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
Day by day, it’s like a drop of knowledge, and night after night, wisdom just flows.
Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
No cap, there’s no lingo or chatter that doesn’t catch their sound.
{There is} no speech nor language, {where} their voice is not heard. {where...: or, without these their voice is heard: Heb. without their voice heard}
Their message spreads all over the planet, and their words hit everywhere. God literally set up a chill spot for the sun with them.
Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, {line: or, rule, or, direction}
It’s like a bridegroom hyped up, bouncing outta his crib, ready to race.
Which {is} as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, {and} rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
The sun's path stretches from one side of the sky to the other, and nothing's concealed from its warmth.
His going forth {is} from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
The Lord's law is straight fire, totally reviving the soul; His testimony is bomb, making the naive wise.
The law of the LORD {is} perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD {is} sure, making wise the simple. {law: or, doctrine} {converting: or, restoring}
The Lord's rules are legit, bringing joy to the heart; His command is clean, illuminating the eyes.
The statutes of the LORD {are} right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD {is} pure, enlightening the eyes.
The reverence for the Lord is pure, lasting forever; His judgments are true and right, no cap.
The fear of the LORD {is} clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD {are} true {and} righteous altogether. {true: Heb. truth}
They’re more wanted than gold, fr, even the finest of the fine; sweeter than honey and the honeycomb, no lie.
More to be desired {are they} than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. {the honeycomb: Heb. the dropping of honeycombs}
Also, they keep your servant in check; following them brings major blessings.
Moreover by them is thy servant warned: {and} in keeping of them {there is} great reward.
Who can even spot their blunders? Purge me from my hidden slip-ups.
Who can understand {his} errors? cleanse thou me from secret {faults}.
Keep me far from those sus sins; don’t let them run me: then I’ll be straight up, innocent from the big mess-ups.
Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous {sins}; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression. {the great: or, much}
May my words and the meditations of my heart be fresh in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my savior.
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer. {strength: Heb. rock}
