Psalms Chapter 21
The king's vibin' off your strength, God; when you save him, he's straight up hyped!
[To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.] The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
You blessed him with his heart's wishes, and you didn’t ghost him on what he asked for. Selah.
Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.
You shower him with solid vibes: you placed a legit gold crown on his dome.
For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.
He wanted life, and you delivered the whole deal—like, for eternity, fr.
He asked life of thee, {and} thou gavest {it} him, {even} length of days for ever and ever.
His glory is straight fire in your salvation: you’ve loaded him up with honor and majesty.
His glory {is} great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him.
You made him blessed for life: he’s vibin' hard with your presence, no cap.
For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance. {made him most...: Heb. set him to be blessings} {made him exceeding...: Heb. make him glad with joy}
The king's got mad faith in the Lord, and with the Most High's mercy, he’s rock solid.
For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.
Your hand’s gonna track down all the haters: your right hand’s gonna snag those who are sus.
Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.
You’ll roast them like a fiery oven when you’re upset: the Lord’s gonna consume them with fury, and the flames are gonna take them out.
Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.
You’ll erase their legacy from the earth, and their name will be wiped from the kids of men.
Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.
They plotted wickedness against you: they hatched some sus schemes that won’t go down.
For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, {which} they are not able {to perform}.
So you’ll make them dip when you ready your arrows to fire at them.
Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, {when} thou shalt make ready {thine arrows} upon thy strings against the face of them. {shalt thou...: or, thou shalt set them as a butt} {back: Heb. shoulder}
God, be lifted up in your own strength: we’ll vibe out singing and praising your power.
Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: {so} will we sing and praise thy power.
