Psalms Chapter 139
Ayo God, you totally get me and know my vibe inside and out.
[To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.] O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known {me}.
You peep me when I’m chilling and when I rise up, you catch my thoughts from far away.
Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.
You’re in every step I take, and when I mess up, you know all my moves, no cap.
Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted {with} all my ways. {compassest: or, winnowest}
Not a single word slips from my lips that you don’t already know, like fr.
For {there is} not a word in my tongue, {but}, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.
You’ve got me secured from all sides, and your hand’s always holding me down.
Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.
This insight is mind-blowing; it’s on a whole different level, can’t even touch it.
{Such} knowledge {is} too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot {attain} unto it.
Where can I escape your vibe? Where can I bounce from your presence?
Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
If I rise to the heavens, you’re there; if I crash into the abyss, you’re still around, periodt.
If I ascend up into heaven, thou {art} there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou {art there}.
If I catch the dawn vibes and chill at the ocean’s edge;
{If} I take the wings of the morning, {and} dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
Even there, your hand’s guiding me, and your right hand’s keeping me secure.
Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
If I think the dark’s gonna cover me, even the night’s lit up around me.
If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.
The dark can’t hide from you; night shines just like day: you see everything, no sus.
Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light {are} both alike {to thee}. {hideth...: Heb. darkeneth not} {the darkness and...: Heb. as is the darkness, so is the light}
You’ve been on my team since day one; you wrapped me up in my mom’s womb.
For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
I’m gonna shout you out because I’m crafted with mad rizz; your creations are so fire, and my soul gets it.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully {and} wonderfully made: marvellous {are} thy works; and {that} my soul knoweth right well. {right...: Heb. greatly}
My true self wasn’t hidden from you when I was being crafted in the shadows, all detailed and stuff.
My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, {and} curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. {substance: or, strength, or, body}
Your eyes saw my unformed self; all my parts were written in your book before I ever showed up.
Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all {my members} were written, {which} in continuance were fashioned, when {as yet there was} none of them. {all...: Heb. all of them} {which...: or, what days they should be fashioned}
Your thoughts about me are so precious, God! They’re like, next level.
How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
If I tried to count them, they’d outnumber the grains of sand; when I wake up, you’re still there.
{If} I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.
For real, you’ll take out the wicked, God; so just step back, you haters.
Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.
They’re out here dissing you, and your enemies are using your name for clout.
For they speak against thee wickedly, {and} thine enemies take {thy name} in vain.
Do I not hate those who hate you, Lord? Am I not bummed out by those who come for you?
Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
I’m all about that perfect hate for them; they’re definitely my rivals.
I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.
Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and see what’s popping in my thoughts.
Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
And check if there’s any sus in me, and lead me on the path that lasts forever.
And see if {there be any} wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. {wicked...: Heb. way of pain, or, grief}
