Proverbs Chapter 8
Yo, doesn’t wisdom yell? Understanding’s out here flexing her voice for real?
Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?
Chilling at the peak of high spots, just vibing along the paths.
She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.
She’s like, “Yo, peep me at the gates, at the entrance of the city, and at the doors.”
She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.
I’m calling out to you, my dudes; my voice is for all the homies out there.
Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice {is} to the sons of man.
Listen up, you simple folks, get wise; and you fools, seriously level up your hearts.
O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.
So, pay attention; I’m about to drop some lit knowledge; my words are straight fire.
Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips {shall be} right things.
Truth’s gonna come out of my mouth; wickedness is totally sus to my lips.
For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness {is} an abomination to my lips. {an...: Heb. the abomination of my lips}
Everything I say is righteous; nothing shady or twisted is found in them, no cap.
All the words of my mouth {are} in righteousness; {there is} nothing froward or perverse in them. {froward: Heb. wreathed}
They’re all clear for those who get it and right for those chasing knowledge.
They {are} all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.
Grab my wisdom, not silver; knowledge’s way more valuable than that fancy gold, periodt.
Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.
Wisdom is way better than rubies; nothing you want can even compare, no cap.
For wisdom {is} better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.
I’m wisdom, vibing with prudence, finding all the lit knowledge and clever ideas.
I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions. {prudence: or, subtilty}
The fear of the Lord means hating evil: pride, arrogance, the sus path, and that savage mouth, I can’t with that.
The fear of the LORD {is} to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
Counsel is my jam, and I got solid wisdom; I’m understanding and have strength on lock.
Counsel {is} mine, and sound wisdom: I {am} understanding; I have strength.
Through me, kings rule, and princes drop justice like it's hot.
By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.
By me, princes lead, and all the nobles and judges of the earth pop off.
By me princes rule, and nobles, {even} all the judges of the earth.
I vibe with those who love me; if you seek me early, you’ll find me, fr.
I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
Riches and honor roll with me; I got durable riches and righteousness, for real.
Riches and honour {are} with me; {yea}, durable riches and righteousness.
My fruit is way better than gold; my revenue hits harder than choice silver.
My fruit {is} better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.
I guide in the way of righteousness, right in the heart of judgment paths.
I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: {lead: or, walk}
Those who vibe with me get the goods, and I’ll stack their treasures, no cap.
That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.
The Lord had me on lock from day one, before all the cool stuff went down.
The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.
I existed since forever, even before the earth was a thing, fr.
I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.
Before the deeps got deep, I was already in the mix; no water vibes yet.
When {there were} no depths, I was brought forth; when {there were} no fountains abounding with water.
Before the mountains were chilling, I was already in the game.
Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:
He hadn’t even crafted the earth or the fields, just pure potential, periodt.
While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world. {fields: or, open places} {the highest...: or, the chief part}
When he was setting up the heavens, I was right there, plotting the deeps.
When he prepared the heavens, I {was} there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth: {a compass: or, a circle}
When he sorted the clouds, I was there, ensuring the deeps were lit.
When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:
He told the sea what’s up, like, "Stay in your lane," setting the foundations, no cap.
When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:
I was right by him, like his ride-or-die, always vibing and rejoicing in his presence.
Then I was by him, {as} one brought up {with him}: and I was daily {his} delight, rejoicing always before him;
Vibes are high in the chill parts of the earth; I’m all about hanging with the homies.
Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights {were} with the sons of men.
So listen up, fam: blessed are those who stick to my vibes.
Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed {are they that} keep my ways.
Get that wisdom, fam, and don’t sleep on it.
Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.
Blessed is the dude who hears me, always chilling at my gates, waiting for the good stuff.
Blessed {is} the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.
Whoever finds me is living life to the fullest and gets that divine favor, no cap.
For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD. {obtain: Heb. bring forth}
But if you go against me, you’re just messing with your own soul: all who hate me are vibing with death.
But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.
