Proverbs Chapter 5
Ayo fam, peep my wisdom and catch the vibes I’m dropping:
My son, attend unto my wisdom, {and} bow thine ear to my understanding:
So you can keep it 100 and have your words packed with knowledge.
That thou mayest regard discretion, and {that} thy lips may keep knowledge.
'Cause the lips of a shady shorty are sweet like honey, and her mouth's smoother than butter, no cap.
For the lips of a strange woman drop {as} an honeycomb, and her mouth {is} smoother than oil: {mouth: Heb. palate}
But her journey takes a wild turn, bitter like wormwood, sharp like a double-edged blade.
But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a twoedged sword.
Her steps lead straight to death; her path is all about that dark energy.
Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell.
Don't get it twisted, her ways are all over the place, so you can’t really tell what's legit.
Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, {that} thou canst not know {them}.
Listen up, my squad, and don’t stray from my wisdom, fr.
Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth.
Keep your distance from her, and don’t even think about sliding into her space:
Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house:
Or you’ll end up handing your honor over to others and wasting your years on the harsh.
Lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel:
Or letting outsiders profit off your grind; your hustle’s in the hands of a stranger.
Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labours {be} in the house of a stranger; {thy wealth: Heb. thy strength}
And you’ll be feeling regret when you’re all worn out, periodt.
And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed,
And you’ll be like, how did I end up hating the lessons and ignoring the truth?
And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;
I didn’t vibe with my teachers or pay attention to the ones dropping gems!
And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!
I was almost wrapped up in all the chaos with the crew.
I was almost in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly.
Sip from your own well, fam, and keep it fresh from your own stash.
Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well.
Let your vibes flow out and spread like rivers through the streets.
Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad, {and} rivers of waters in the streets.
Keep it all yours, don’t share with the outsiders.
Let them be only thine own, and not strangers' with thee.
Let your fountain be blessed and vibe with the wifey of your young days.
Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth.
Let her be your ride or die, keeping you satisfied always; stay lit with her love.
{Let her be as} the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love. {satisfy...: Heb. water thee} {be thou...: Heb. err thou always in her love}
So why you out here chasing a shady girl and hugging up on a stranger?
And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger?
'Cause the Lord sees all your moves, and He’s keeping tabs on your steps.
For the ways of man {are} before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.
Your own bad decisions will catch up to you, and you’ll be bound by your sins.
His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins. {sins: Heb. sin}
You’ll be lost without direction, and in your foolishness, you’ll wander off.
He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.
