Proverbs Chapter 3
Ayo crew, don’t ignore my guidelines; keep my rules close to your soul, fr.
My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
If you do, you’ll live longer, catch those solid vibes, and find real peace, no cap.
For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. {long...: Heb. years of life}
Don’t let mercy and truth slide; wear them proudly, carve them on your heart, periodt.
Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
Then you’ll be vibing with God and the squad, and they’ll recognize your solid understanding.
So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. {good...: or, good success}
Put your trust in the Lord with your whole heart; don’t lean on your own wisdom, that’s sus.
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Give Him a shout in everything you do, and He’ll guide you to pop off.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Don’t think you’re all that; respect the Lord and steer clear of the bad stuff, it’s savage.
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
It’ll feel like health to your core and strength to your bones, it slaps.
It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. {health: Heb. medicine} {marrow: Heb. watering, or, moistening}
Show love to the Lord with what you have, and offer Him the best of your earnings, bet.
Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
Then your stash will be bursting, and you’ll have fresh wine flowing all day, lit.
So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
Ayo crew, don’t ignore the Lord’s guidance; don’t get weary of His corrections, fr.
My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:
The Lord’s got serious love for those He corrects; just like a dad vibes with his favorite kid.
For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son {in whom} he delighteth.
Blessed is the person who snags wisdom; the one who gains understanding is straight up thriving.
Happy {is} the man {that} findeth wisdom, and the man {that} getteth understanding. {that getteth...: Heb. that draweth out understanding}
The worth of wisdom is way beyond silver, and the profits are more lit than gold.
For the merchandise of it {is} better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
She’s more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can even match, no cap.
She {is} more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.
In her right hand is long life; over her left, she’s clutching riches and honor, periodt.
Length of days {is} in her right hand; {and} in her left hand riches and honour.
Her vibes are all about good times, and her paths are totally peaceful.
Her ways {are} ways of pleasantness, and all her paths {are} peace.
She’s like a tree of life for those who grab onto her; everyone who keeps her close is vibin’ hard.
She {is} a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy {is every one} that retaineth her.
The Lord crafted the earth with wisdom; He set the skies up with understanding, no doubt.
The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens. {established: or, prepared}
With His knowledge, He opened the depths, and the clouds are dropping that sweet dew.
By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew.
Ayo crew, keep that wisdom and positivity close, don’t let them fade away.
My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:
They’ll be life to your spirit and bring you that grace, fr.
So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck.
You’ll be walking secure, no stumbles, just straight vibin’.
Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.
When you crash, you won’t be scared; your sleep will be chill, periodt.
When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.
Don’t stress sudden fear or the chaos of the wicked when it rolls in, no cap.
Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.
The Lord’s got your back, keeping your steps steady, you won’t trip.
For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
Don’t hold back the good stuff from those who deserve it, if you can hook them up.
Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do {it}. {them...: Heb. the owners thereof}
Don’t be like, “I’ll get you later,” when you can help right here, bet.
Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.
Don’t scheme against your neighbor; they’re just chilling next to you.
Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee. {Devise...: or, Practise no evil}
Don’t start beef for no reason if they haven’t done you dirty.
Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm.
Don’t be jealous of the oppressor, fam, and don’t vibe with their style.
Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways. {the oppressor: Heb. a man of violence}
The shady are sus to the Lord, but He’s got secrets with the righteous, no cap.
For the froward {is} abomination to the LORD: but his secret {is} with the righteous.
The curse hits the wicked’s crib, but God’s blessing is lit for the just.
The curse of the LORD {is} in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.
For real, He clowns the haters, but He’s all about grace for the humble.
Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly.
The wise are gonna flex with glory, but fools are just gonna end up with shame, periodt.
The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools. {shall be...: Heb. exalteth the fools}
