Proverbs Chapter 2
Ayo fam, if you’re ready to vibe with my words and keep my rules close,
My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
You gotta really listen to wisdom and let your heart soak up that understanding rizz;
So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, {and} apply thine heart to understanding;
If you’re out here shouting for knowledge and calling for understanding,
Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, {and} liftest up thy voice for understanding; {liftest...: Heb. givest thy voice}
If you’re digging for her like you’re on the hunt for silver or secret treasures,
If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as {for} hid treasures;
Then you’ll totally grasp the whole fear of the Lord thing and find that divine knowledge, fr.
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
It’s the Lord who’s dropping wisdom: knowledge and understanding stream from His mouth.
For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth {cometh} knowledge and understanding.
He’s stacking up solid wisdom for the righteous and got your back if you keep it straight.
He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: {he is} a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
He’s watching over the paths of judgment and shielding the way for His crew.
He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.
Then you’ll grasp what’s right, just, and every solid vibe;
Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; {yea}, every good path.
When wisdom strikes your heart and knowledge feels right in your soul,
When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;
Discretion’s gonna keep you safe, and understanding’s got your back, no cap.
Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
To rescue you from the shady dude, the one who’s always chatting that sus talk,
To deliver thee from the way of the evil {man}, from the man that speaketh froward things;
Who goes off the straight path to chill in the darkness,
Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;
Who gets hype about doing evil and loves the bad vibes,
Who rejoice to do evil, {and} delight in the frowardness of the wicked;
Their ways are all twisted, and they’re sus on their paths:
Whose ways {are} crooked, and {they} froward in their paths:
To save you from that sketchy girl who sweet-talks with her words;
To deliver thee from the strange woman, {even} from the stranger {which} flattereth with her words;
Who forgets her youthful guide and ditches the bond with her God.
Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.
Her crib leads to death, and her paths are all about the dead vibes.
For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.
No one who rolls with her ever comes back or finds the way to life.
None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.
So you can roll with the good people and keep the paths of the righteous.
That thou mayest walk in the way of good {men}, and keep the paths of the righteous.
The straight-up will chill in the land, and the perfect will hang around.
For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.
But the wicked are getting cut off from the earth, and the wrongdoers are getting rooted out.
But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it. {rooted: or, plucked up}
