Numbers Chapter 23
Balaam was like to Balak, "Yo, set up seven altars here and grab me seven oxen and seven rams. Let’s vibe together."
And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven oxen and seven rams.
Balak replied, “Bet,” and went along with Balaam’s request; they sacrificed a bull and a ram on each altar.
And Balak did as Balaam had spoken; and Balak and Balaam offered on {every} altar a bullock and a ram.
Balaam told Balak, "Chill by your burnt offering, I’m gonna dip. Maybe the Lord will slide through and show me what’s popping. I’ll spill the deets."
And Balaam said unto Balak, Stand by thy burnt offering, and I will go: peradventure the LORD will come to meet me: and whatsoever he sheweth me I will tell thee. And he went to an high place. {to an...: or, solitary}
So God showed up to Balaam and said, “I see you built seven altars and sacrificed a bull and a ram on each. That’s dope.”
And God met Balaam: and he said unto him, I have prepared seven altars, and I have offered upon {every} altar a bullock and a ram.
The Lord dropped a message in Balaam’s mouth, instructing him, “Head back to Balak and say this.”
And the LORD put a word in Balaam's mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus thou shalt speak.
He rolled back and found Balak chilling by his burnt offering with all the Moab princes around.
And he returned unto him, and, lo, he stood by his burnt sacrifice, he, and all the princes of Moab.
Balaam kicked off his parable, saying, “Balak, the king of Moab, summoned me from Aram, outta the mountains, saying, ‘Come, curse Jacob and take a shot at Israel.’”
And he took up his parable, and said, Balak the king of Moab hath brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, {saying}, Come, curse me Jacob, and come, defy Israel.
“How can I curse those whom God hasn’t cursed? How can I defy those the Lord hasn’t defied? No cap.”
How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, {whom} the LORD hath not defied?
“From the heights of the rocks, I peep them; from the hills, I see them: this people is solo and not part of any nation.”
For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.
“Who can tally Jacob's dust or the squad of Israel? Let me go out like a righteous one and end on that same vibe!”
Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth {part} of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his! {me: Heb. my soul, or, my life}
Balak was like, "Yo, what just happened? I brought you here to roast my foes, and now you’re out here blessing them, fr?"
And Balak said unto Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed {them} altogether.
Balaam shot back, "Do I not have to say what the Lord puts in my mouth? No cap."
And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which the LORD hath put in my mouth?
Balak was like, "Aight, come with me to another spot where you can peep them better. You’ll only get a glimpse, but curse them from there."
And Balak said unto him, Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, from whence thou mayest see them: thou shalt see but the utmost part of them, and shalt not see them all: and curse me them from thence.
So, he took him to the field of Zophim, up on Pisgah, built seven altars, and sacrificed a bull and a ram on each one.
And he brought him into the field of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, and built seven altars, and offered a bullock and a ram on {every} altar. {Pisgah: or, the hill}
He told Balak, "Chill here by your burnt offering while I go meet the Lord over there."
And he said unto Balak, Stand here by thy burnt offering, while I meet {the LORD} yonder.
The Lord met Balaam, dropped a word in his mouth, and said, "Go back to Balak and say this."
And the LORD met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, Go again unto Balak, and say thus.
When he rolled back, Balak was standing by his offering with the Moab princes. Balak asked, "What did the Lord say?"
And when he came to him, behold, he stood by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What hath the LORD spoken?
Balaam picked up his parable and said, "Yo, Balak, listen up; pay attention, son of Zippor."
And he took up his parable, and said, Rise up, Balak, and hear; hearken unto me, thou son of Zippor:
God ain’t like a dude to lie or a human to change his mind. If He says it, He’s gonna make it happen, no cap.
God {is} not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do {it}? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Check it, I got the order to bless, and He blessed; I can’t switch that vibe up.
Behold, I have received {commandment} to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.
No cap, God ain't peeped any bad energy in Jacob or Israel; He's rolling with them, and the king's vibe is solid among them.
He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God {is} with him, and the shout of a king {is} among them.
God flexed hard bringing them outta Egypt; He’s got the strength of a unicorn, fr.
God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.
For real, there’s no magic against Jacob or divination against Israel; people gonna say, "Look what God did!"
Surely {there is} no enchantment against Jacob, neither {is there} any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought! {against: or, in}
Watch out, the crew's rising like a fierce lion, and he ain't relaxing till he gets his prey and drinks up, periodt.
Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat {of} the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.
Balak was like, "Don’t curse them or bless them, just chill out."
And Balak said unto Balaam, Neither curse them at all, nor bless them at all.
Balaam responded, "Did I not say? Whatever the Lord says, that’s what I gotta do, no cap."
But Balaam answered and said unto Balak, Told not I thee, saying, All that the LORD speaketh, that I must do?
Balak was like, "Yo, come with me; maybe God will allow you to curse them from a different spot."
And Balak said unto Balaam, Come, I pray thee, I will bring thee unto another place; peradventure it will please God that thou mayest curse me them from thence.
Balak took Balaam to the peak of Peor, looking over Jeshimon.
And Balak brought Balaam unto the top of Peor, that looketh toward Jeshimon.
Balaam told Balak, "Build me seven altars here and get seven bulls and seven rams ready."
And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven bullocks and seven rams.
Balak complied with Balaam's request, offering a bull and a ram on each altar.
And Balak did as Balaam had said, and offered a bullock and a ram on {every} altar.
