Matthew Chapter 6
Yo, don’t stunt on your good deeds in front of others for clout; otherwise, your Father in heaven won’t reward you at all.
Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. {alms: or, righteousness} {of your: or, with your}
So when you give, don’t blow a trumpet like the phony peeps do in churches and on the streets just to get noticed. For real, they’ve already scored their reward.
Therefore when thou doest {thine} alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. {do not...: or, cause not a trumpet to be sounded}
But when you give, keep it chill—like, let your left hand not peep what your right hand’s doing.
But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
Keep your giving under wraps, and your Father who sees what’s hidden will bless you publicly.
That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
And when you pray, don’t be like the fakes who love to showboat in churches and on street corners for attention. For real, they’ve already secured their prize.
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites {are}: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
But you, when you pray, find a quiet spot, shut the door, and have a convo with your Father in secret; He’ll come through for you in front of everyone.
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
And when you pray, don’t just recite the same stuff like the non-believers; they think they’ll be heard just because they talk a lot.
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen {do}: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Don’t roll like them; your Father knows what you need before you even ask.
Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
Here’s how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, your name is fire.
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Bring your kingdom, and let your will pop off on earth like it does in heaven.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as {it is} in heaven.
Hook us up with our daily bread, fr.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, just as we forgive those who owe us, no cap.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And don’t lead us into temptation, but save us from the evil vibes: Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
If you forgive others for their mess-ups, your heavenly Dad will forgive you too, bet.
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
But if you don’t forgive, your Father ain’t gonna forgive your mess-ups either, periodt.
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
When you fast, don’t be all gloomy like those phony peeps; they just wanna be seen. For real, they’ve already got their reward.
Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
But when you fast, freshen up and wash your face, fam;
But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;
So you don’t look like you’re fasting to others, but to your Dad who sees the secret stuff, and He’ll bless you in public.
That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
Don’t stack up treasures on Earth where moths and rust can wreck it, and thieves can just slide in and swipe it.
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
Instead, build up treasures in heaven where nothing can touch it, and thieves can’t break in or steal, lit.
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
Where your treasure is, that’s where your heart’s vibing, no cap.
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
The eye is the vibe check for your body: if it’s clear, your whole self is lit.
The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
But if your eye's sus, your whole body’s in the dark. If the light in you is dark, that’s a major red flag!
But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great {is} that darkness!
You can’t serve two bosses: you’ll either vibe with one and ghost the other. You can’t roll with God and money, periodt.
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
So like, don’t stress about your life, what you’ll eat or drink; your body is worth way more than just snacks and fits.
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
Peep the birds: they don’t plant or harvest, yet your heavenly Dad feeds them. You’re way more valuable than they are, fr.
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Which of you can flex and add a single inch to your height by worrying?
Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
And why stress about clothes? Check out the lilies in the field, they just grow; no effort, no spinning.
And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
For real, even Solomon in all his drip wasn’t dressed as fly as one of these.
And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
If God’s got the grass looking fresh today and burnt tomorrow, how much more will He hook you up, you little faith squad?
Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, {shall he} not much more {clothe} you, O ye of little faith?
So don’t stress about what to eat, drink, or wear, fam. Just relax.
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
The vibes are legit; your heavenly Dad knows you need all that.
(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
Focus on God's kingdom and being righteous, and everything else will just come through, no cap.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Don’t worry about tomorrow; it’s got its own drama. Just handle today, periodt.
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day {is} the evil thereof.
