Matthew Chapter 5
So he peeped the crowd and climbed up a mountain; his squad rolled up on him.
And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
He was like, 'Let me drop some wisdom,' and started saying,
And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
Happy are those who feel empty inside; they’re vibing with the whole heaven experience.
Blessed {are} the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Happy are the ones who are feeling down; they’re gonna get that comfort, for real.
Blessed {are} they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Happy are the laid-back folks; they’re about to own the whole earth, no cap.
Blessed {are} the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Happy are those who are craving what’s right; they’re gonna be satisfied, periodt.
Blessed {are} they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Happy are the ones who show compassion; they’ll get compassion back, lit.
Blessed {are} the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Happy are the pure in heart; they’re gonna peep God, no sus vibes.
Blessed {are} the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Happy are the ones who create peace; they’re gonna be called God's children, goated.
Blessed {are} the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Happy are those who are getting called out for doing what’s right; theirs is the whole heaven vibe.
Blessed {are} they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
You’re blessed when people come at you, roast you, and spread all kinds of sus rumors about you for my name.
Blessed are ye, when {men} shall revile you, and persecute {you}, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. {falsely: Gr. lying}
Get hyped and rejoice: your reward in heaven is lit, just like how they came for the OG prophets before you.
Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great {is} your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
You’re the salt of the earth, but if you lose your flavor, you're basically trash, like literally no cap.
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
You’re the light of the world. A city on a hill is too bright to hide, periodt.
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Nobody lights a candle and hides it under a bushel; they put it on a stand so it lights up the whole crib.
Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. {a bushel: the word in the original signifieth a measure containing about a pint less than a peck}
Let your shine be seen so people check out your dope actions and give props to your Father in heaven.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Don’t think I’m here to cancel the law or the prophets; I’m just here to complete the vibes.
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
For real, I’m telling you, until heaven and earth pass away, not even a dot from the law will fade until everything’s wrapped up.
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Anyone who breaks even the tiniest command and teaches others to do the same will be the least in heaven, but those who follow and teach them will be called great, fr.
Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach {them}, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
I’m saying, unless your game exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you’re not entering heaven, no cap.
For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed {the righteousness} of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
You heard it said, 'Don’t kill,' and if you do, you’re gonna catch some serious judgment vibes.
Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: {by: or, to}
But I’m telling you, if you’re mad at your homie for no reason, you’re in the danger zone; calling him Raca? That’s sus, and saying 'You fool' puts you on the hot seat.
But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. {Raca: that is, Vain fellow}
So if you’re about to drop your gift at the altar and remember your homie’s got beef with you,
Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;
Just drop your gift, go make things cool with your homie first, then come back and flex that gift.
Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
Get tight with your enemy ASAP while you’re still vibing; otherwise, he might send you to the judge, and then you’ll be stuck in the clink.
Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.
For real, you won’t bounce from there until you’ve paid every last penny.
Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.
You heard it said, 'Don’t cheat,'
Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
But I’m saying, if you check out a girl with lust, you’ve already cheated in your heart, no cap.
But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
And if your right eye is trippin', just pluck it out; better to lose one part than for your whole self to end up in the fire.
And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast {it} from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not {that} thy whole body should be cast into hell. {offend...: or, do cause thee to offend}
And if your right hand is causing you to slip, chop it off; it’s better to lose a member than for your whole body to get tossed into the fire.
And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast {it} from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not {that} thy whole body should be cast into hell.
It’s been said, if you wanna ditch your wife, you gotta give her a divorce paper, no cap.
It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:
But I’m telling you, if you ditch your wife for anything except cheating, you’re making her cheat too; and if you marry a divorced chick, you’re just being sus.
But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
Again, you heard it back in the day, don’t break your promises, keep it 100 with the Lord.
Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:
But I’m saying, don’t swear at all; not even by heaven, 'cause that’s where God chills.
But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:
Don’t swear by the earth either; it’s just His footstool, and Jerusalem is the city of the ultimate King, fr.
Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
And don’t swear by your own head, 'cause you can’t even change one hair from black to white, periodt.
Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.
Just keep it simple: say yes or no; anything more is just drama.
But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
You’ve heard it said, an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, lit.
Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
But I’m telling you, don’t fight back; if someone slaps you on one cheek, just turn and give them the other side too, savage.
But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
And if someone tries to sue you for your shirt, just give them your coat too, no cap.
And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have {thy} cloke also.
If someone vibes you to walk a mile, just double it and go two, no cap.
And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
Hook up those who ask you for stuff, and don’t ghost the ones who wanna borrow.
Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
You’ve heard it said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy,' but that’s sus.
Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
But I’m telling you, love your haters, bless those who throw shade, do good for the ones who can’t stand you, and pray for those who use you and come at you.
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
That way, you’ll be the real fam of your Father in heaven, ‘cause He makes the sun rise on the good and the bad, and sends rain on everyone, lit or not.
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
If you only love those who love you back, what’s the flex? Even the tax collectors do that.
For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
And if you’re only saying what’s up to your crew, how are you any different? Even the tax collectors roll like that.
And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more {than others}? do not even the publicans so?
So be perfect, just like your Father in heaven is straight-up perfect.
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
