Luke Chapter 6
So, on the second chill day after the first, Jesus and his squad were chilling in the cornfields, snacking on some corn and grinding it in their hands.
And it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and did eat, rubbing {them} in {their} hands.
Some of the Pharisees were like, "Why are you breaking the rules on the sabbath?"
And certain of the Pharisees said unto them, Why do ye that which is not lawful to do on the sabbath days?
Jesus was like, "Have y'all ever peeped what David did when he was starving with his crew?"
And Jesus answering them said, Have ye not read so much as this, what David did, when himself was an hungred, and they which were with him;
"He straight-up went into God's house, grabbed the shewbread, and shared it with his homies. Only priests are meant to munch on that, no cap."
How he went into the house of God, and did take and eat the shewbread, and gave also to them that were with him; which it is not lawful to eat but for the priests alone?
"Just so you know, the Son of Man is the boss of the sabbath too."
And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
Then, on another sabbath, Jesus pulled up to the synagogue to teach, and there was a dude with a messed-up hand.
And it came to pass also on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was withered.
The scribes and Pharisees were keeping an eye on him, hoping to catch him slipping on the sabbath.
And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him.
But Jesus peeped their thoughts and told the guy with the withered hand, "Get up and stand in the middle." And he did.
But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth.
Jesus asked them, "Is it chill to do good or evil on the sabbath? To save someone’s life or ruin it?"
Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy {it}?
He glanced around at everyone and said to the dude, "Stretch out your hand." He did, and it was all good, just like the other one.
And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
They were totally flipping out and were like, "What we gonna do about Jesus?"
And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.
So, he dipped to the mountain to pray, vibing with God all night.
And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.
When the sun rose, he called his crew, picked twelve, and named them apostles;
And when it was day, he called {unto him} his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles;
Simon, aka Peter, Andrew his bro, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew,
Simon, (whom he also named Peter,) and Andrew his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew,
Matthew and Thomas, James the son of Alpheus, and Simon, who’s called Zelotes,
Matthew and Thomas, James the {son} of Alphaeus, and Simon called Zelotes,
And Judas, James' bro, plus Judas Iscariot, the one who switched up on him.
And Judas {the brother} of James, and Judas Iscariot, which also was the traitor.
He came down with them, stood on the flat ground, surrounded by his squad and a huge crowd from all over Judea and Jerusalem, even peeps from the coast of Tyre and Sidon, just trying to listen and get healed;
And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases;
And those who were dealing with unclean spirits got healed.
And they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed.
The whole crowd was trying to touch him, 'cause power was flowing outta him and healing everyone.
And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed {them} all.
He looked at his disciples and said, "Blessed are the poor, 'cause the kingdom of God belongs to you."
And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed {be ye} poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.
Blessed are those who are hungry now, 'cause you're gonna be fed. Blessed are those who cry now, 'cause soon you'll be laughing, fr.
Blessed {are ye} that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed {are ye} that weep now: for ye shall laugh.
Blessed are you when people throw shade at you, ghost you, and call you sus, just 'cause of the Son of Man.
Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you {from their company}, and shall reproach {you}, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.
Pop off and celebrate on that day, jump for joy, 'cause your reward in heaven is lit, just like how their fam treated the prophets.
Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward {is} great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.
But for real, woe to you rich folks! You've already got your vibes.
But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation.
Woe to you who are full! You're about to feel hunger. Woe to you who are laughing now! You're gonna be mourning and crying, no cap.
Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep.
Woe to you when everyone says you’re the GOAT! That’s how their fam treated the fake prophets.
Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.
But I’m telling you, if you hear this, love your haters and do good to those who don’t vibe with you.
But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,
Bless those who throw shade at you and pray for those who use you, periodt.
Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
If someone slaps you on one cheek, offer them the other; if they snatch your drip, don’t sweat it, let them take your coat too.
And unto him that smiteth thee on the {one} cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not {to take thy} coat also.
Give to everyone who asks you, and if they take your stuff, don’t even trip about it.
Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask {them} not again.
Treat others how you wanna be treated, fam. It’s a whole vibe.
And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
If you only love those who love you back, what’s the point? Even sinners pull that, no cap.
For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.
If you’re nice to those who are nice to you, what’s the flex? Sinners be doing the same, fr.
And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
If you lend to people hoping they’ll pay you back, what’s the move? Sinners do that too, just saying.
And if ye lend {to them} of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.
But for real, love your haters, do good, and lend without expecting anything back; your blessings will be lit, and you’ll be like the Most High, who’s chill with everyone, even the sus ones.
But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and {to} the evil.
Be merciful, just like your Father is all about that mercy life.
Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
Don’t judge, and you won’t get judged; don’t condemn, and you won’t get condemned; just forgive, and you’ll be forgiven, periodt.
Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
Give, and it’ll come back to you; good measure, pressed down, and overflowing, people will hook you up. The way you measure it out is how it’s coming back to you, bet.
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
He told them a story: Can the blind lead the blind? They're both gonna fall, no doubt.
And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?
A disciple ain’t above their teacher, but if you’re on your grind, you’ll be just like your teacher, for real.
The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master. {that...: or, shall be perfected as his master}
Why you trippin' over the speck in your bro's eye but can't see the beam in your own? Sus vibes.
And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
How you gonna tell your bro, "Yo, let me get that speck outta your eye," when you can't even see the beam in yours? Total hypocrite, deal with your own issues first, then you can help him out, fr.
Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.
A good tree ain't gonna produce bad fruit; just like a bad tree ain't gonna drop good fruit, no cap.
For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Every tree’s recognized by its fruit. You ain't gonna find figs on thorns or grapes on a bramble bush, periodt.
For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes. {grapes: Gr. a grape}
A good dude pulls from the good stuff in his heart and brings out good vibes; an evil dude pulls from the bad stuff and brings out that negativity: what’s in the heart spills out the mouth, no cap.
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
Why you calling me, "Lord, Lord," but not vibing with what I say? That’s sus.
And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
Whoever rolls up to me, listens to my words, and actually does them, I’ll show you what they’re like:
Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:
They’re like a dude who built a house, dug deep, and laid the foundation on rock: when the flood hits, that house stands strong, 'cause it’s built on solid ground, lit.
He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
But the one who hears and doesn’t do is like a dude who builds a house on the sand; when the flood comes, that thing crashes hard, and the wreckage is no joke.
But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.
