Luke Chapter 4
So Jesus was vibin’ full of the Holy Spirit, dipped from Jordan, and the Spirit led him into the desert, no cap.
And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
He was out there for forty days, getting tempted by the devil. Didn’t eat anything, and when the fast wrapped up, he was mad hungry, fr.
Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.
The devil was all, “If you’re really the Son of God, turn this stone into some bread, fam.”
And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.
Jesus clapped back, “Nah, it’s written that man doesn’t live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from God. Periodt.”
And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
God literally took him up to a towering mountain and peeped all the kingdoms of the world in a flash, lit.
And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
The devil said, “I’ll hand you all this power and glory since it’s mine to give, and I can throw it at whoever I please.”
And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
“So if you worship me, it’s all yours, bet.”
If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. {worship me: or, fall down before me}
Jesus was like, “Get behind me, Satan! It’s written that you should worship the Lord your God and serve Him only, no cap.”
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Then he took him to Jerusalem and put him on the temple’s highest point, saying, “If you’re the Son of God, jump off here.”
And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:
“It’s written that He’ll send His angels to protect you, fr.”
For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:
They got you, lifting you up so you don’t trip on rocks, no cap.
And in {their} hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
Jesus was like, “For real, don’t test the Lord, fam.”
And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
After the devil threw all his tricks, he dipped for a minute.
And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.
Jesus rolled back with that Spirit power, flexin’ in Galilee, and everyone was chatting about Him, fr.
And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.
He was out here teaching in the synagogues, getting all the hype.
And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.
He pulled up to Nazareth, where he grew up, and did his usual—hit the synagogue on the Sabbath to read.
And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
They handed him the scroll from the prophet Isaiah, and he opened it to the spot that was lit.
And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
The Spirit’s on me, 'cause I’m here to spread good vibes to the poor, heal the broken-hearted, free the captives, and help the blind see, periodt.
The Spirit of the Lord {is} upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
Time to share the year of the Lord’s favor, bet.
To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
He closed the book, passed it back, and sat down, and everyone in the synagogue was staring at him, sus.
And he closed the book, and he gave {it} again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
He was like, "Yo, this scripture is totally lit and popping off right now."
And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
Everyone was shook and vibing with his fire words. They were like, "Ain't this Joseph’s kid?"
And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son?
He was all, "You’re gonna hit me with that 'Doc, heal yourself' line, right? What we heard in Capernaum, do it here too, no cap."
And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country.
He was like, "For real, no prophet gets love in their own city."
And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country.
But I’m telling you, for real, back in Elias' day, there were a ton of widows in Israel when the sky was dry for three and a half years, and famines were everywhere.
But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land;
But Elias was only sent to one, a widow in Sarepta from Sidon, periodt.
But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, {a city} of Sidon, unto a woman {that was} a widow.
And there were a bunch of lepers in Israel when Eliseus was around, but only Naaman the Syrian got cleansed, fr.
And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian.
Everyone in the synagogue was straight-up mad when they heard this.
And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath,
They got up, kicked him out of the city, and took him to the edge of the hill to throw him off, savage.
And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong. {brow: or, edge}
But he just slid through the crowd and bounced, no problem.
But he passing through the midst of them went his way,
He rolled up to Capernaum, a city in Galilee, and dropped some knowledge on them during the sabbath.
And came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbath days.
They were shook by his teaching, 'cause his words had major rizz.
And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power.
In the synagogue, there was this dude with a sus spirit, yelling loud like he was having a meltdown.
And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice,
He was like, "Chill, what’s your deal, Jesus of Nazareth? You here to wreck us? I know who you are; the Holy One of God."
Saying, Let {us} alone; what have we to do with thee, {thou} Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God. {Let...: or, Away}
Jesus was like, "Shut it, and dip out of him." The devil threw him around but bounced without doing any damage.
And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not.
Everyone was lowkey amazed, whispering, "What’s up with this dude? He’s got mad authority, telling unclean spirits to bounce, and they actually do."
And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word {is} this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out.
His name was buzzing all over the place, fam.
And the fame of him went out into every place of the country round about.
He left the synagogue and hit up Simon’s crib. Simon’s mother-in-law was down with a nasty fever, and they were begging him to help her.
And he arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon's house. And Simon's wife's mother was taken with a great fever; and they besought him for her.
He stood over her and told the fever to peace out; it left her, and she popped up and started serving them.
And he stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately she arose and ministered unto them.
When the sun was setting, everyone with sick peeps brought them to him, and he laid hands on each one and healed them, no cap.
Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.
Dem demons rolled up, yelling, "You the Christ, Son of God!" But He was like, "Nah, keep it on the low, no cap."
And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking {them} suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ. {to speak...: or, to say that they knew him to be Christ}
When the sun came up, He bounced to the desert, but the squad was vibing to find Him, begging Him to stick around.
And when it was day, he departed and went into a desert place: and the people sought him, and came unto him, and stayed him, that he should not depart from them.
He told them, "I gotta spread the kingdom vibes to other cities too, that's why I'm here."
And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent.
He was out there preaching in the Galilee synagogues, just straight up poppin' off.
And he preached in the synagogues of Galilee.
