Luke Chapter 24
So like, on the first day of the week, super early vibes, they showed up at the tomb with the spices they had prepared, along with some homies.
Now upon the first {day} of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain {others} with them.
They peeped that the stone was just chilling, rolled away from the entrance of the tomb.
And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.
When they went in, no cap, they couldn’t spot Jesus’ body.
And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
As they were all tripped out, boom, two dudes in shiny fits appeared next to them.
And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:
They were shook and bowed down, and the dudes were like, “Why you searching for the living among the dead?”
And as they were afraid, and bowed down {their} faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? {the living: or, him that liveth}
He’s not here, fam, he’s risen: remember how he told you back in Galilee?
He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,
He mentioned that the Son of Man had to be handed over to some sus people, get crucified, and then vibe back on the third day.
Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
Totally, they remembered what he said, fr.
And they remembered his words,
They bounced from the tomb and spilled the tea to the eleven and everyone else.
And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest.
It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary, the mother of James, plus some other ladies, who filled the apostles in on all this.
It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary {the mother} of James, and other {women that were} with them, which told these things unto the apostles.
Their words were just vibes, and they were like, "Nah, for real."
And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not.
Then Peter popped off, ran to the tomb, and peeped the linen clothes just chilling there, wondering what just happened.
Then arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulchre; and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which was come to pass.
That same day, two of them dipped to a village called Emmaus, which was a bit far from Jerusalem.
And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem {about} threescore furlongs.
They were chatting about all the crazy stuff that went down.
And they talked together of all these things which had happened.
While they were vibing and talking, Jesus showed up and walked with them.
And it came to pass, that, while they communed {together} and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.
But they were lowkey blinded to who he was.
But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.
He asked them, "What’s the tea you guys are spilling while you walk and look all sad?"
And he said unto them, What manner of communications {are} these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?
One of them, named Cleopas, was like, "You must be a total stranger in Jerusalem, not knowing what’s been popping off?"
And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?
He replied, "What things?" They said, "About Jesus of Nazareth, who was a total legend in action and words before God and all the homies."
And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:
And how the big dogs and our leaders handed him over to be canceled, and they crucified him.
And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.
We thought he was the one to save Israel, but fr, it’s been three days since all this went down.
But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.
For real, some of the ladies in our crew were shook, showing up early at the tomb;
Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;
And when they didn’t find his body, they were like, “Yo, we saw angels saying he’s alive!”
And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.
Some of the guys with us went to the tomb and found it just like the ladies said, but they didn’t see him.
And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found {it} even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.
Then he was like, “Y’all are such fools, so slow to believe what the prophets said: no cap.”
Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
Shouldn’t Christ have gone through all this to enter into his glory?
Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
Starting with Moses and the prophets, he broke it down for them in the scriptures about himself.
And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
As they got close to the village they were headed to, he acted like he was gonna keep going.
And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further.
But they were like, “Stay with us, it’s getting late, and the day’s almost over.” So he went in to kick it with them.
But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.
When he was at the table with them, he took bread, blessed it, broke it, and gave it to them.
And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed {it}, and brake, and gave to them.
Their eyes got opened, and they recognized him; then he just ghosted outta there.
And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. {vanished...: or, ceased to be seen of them}
They were like, "Did our hearts not vibe hard when he was chatting with us and breaking down the scriptures?"
And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
They bounced back to Jerusalem that same hour, finding the eleven squad all gathered up with their crew.
And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them,
They were hyped, saying, "The Lord is totally risen, fr, and he showed up to Simon!"
Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.
They spilled the tea on everything that went down, and how they recognized him when he broke bread.
And they told what things {were done} in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread.
While they were talking, Jesus popped up right in the middle of them and said, "Peace out, y'all."
And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace {be} unto you.
But they were shook and scared, thinking they saw a ghost or something sus.
But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.
He asked them, "Why y'all trippin'? What’s got you all in your feels?"
And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
"Check out my hands and feet, it’s really me: touch me and see; a ghost ain't got flesh and bones like I do."
Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
After he said that, he showed them his hands and feet.
And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them {his} hands and {his} feet.
They were all shook and vibing, so he asked, "Y'all got any food?"
And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?
They handed him some grilled fish and honeycomb, no cap.
And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
He took it and ate in front of them, just chillin'.
And he took {it}, and did eat before them.
He said, "These are the facts I dropped while I was with you, everything gotta happen that was written in Moses' law, the prophets, and the psalms about me."
And he said unto them, These {are} the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and {in} the prophets, and {in} the psalms, concerning me.
Then he opened their minds so they could get the scriptures, fr.
Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
He told them, "It’s all written like this, Christ had to suffer and bounce back from the dead on the third day."
And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
"And y'all gotta spread the good news about repentance and forgiveness in my name to all nations, starting with Jerusalem."
And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
"You guys are the witnesses of all this, periodt."
And ye are witnesses of these things.
"Check it, I'm sending my Dad's promise your way: chill in Jerusalem till you get that power from above."
And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
He took them out to Bethany, lifted his hands, and blessed them, vibes on point.
And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.
So, while he was vibing with them, he dipped and got taken up to heaven.
And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.
They were all about worshipping him and bounced back to Jerusalem, feeling mad joy:
And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:
They stayed lit in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.
And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.
