Leviticus Chapter 21
So the Lord was like to Moses, 'Yo, hit up the priests, Aaron's fam, and let them know they can't get defiled for dead folks, no cap.'
And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto the priests the sons of Aaron, and say unto them, There shall none be defiled for the dead among his people:
'But for his close ones, like his mom, dad, son, daughter, and bro, it’s a different vibe.'
But for his kin, that is near unto him, {that is}, for his mother, and for his father, and for his son, and for his daughter, and for his brother,
'And for his virgin sis who's tight with him, who hasn't tied the knot, he can be defiled for her.'
And for his sister a virgin, that is nigh unto him, which hath had no husband; for her may he be defiled.
'But bro can't get defiled since he’s a big deal in his squad, gotta keep it holy.'
{But} he shall not defile himself, {being} a chief man among his people, to profane himself. {he...: or, being an husband among his people, he shall not defile himself for his wife, etc}
'They can't go bald, no trimming the corners of their beards, or cutting themselves, that's sus.'
They shall not make baldness upon their head, neither shall they shave off the corner of their beard, nor make any cuttings in their flesh.
'Gotta stay holy for their God, can’t mess with His rep; they present fire offerings and bread, so they gotta keep it pure.'
They shall be holy unto their God, and not profane the name of their God: for the offerings of the LORD made by fire, {and} the bread of their God, they do offer: therefore they shall be holy.
'They can’t marry a thot or a profane chick, or someone who's been kicked to the curb; he's holy for his God.'
They shall not take a wife {that is} a whore, or profane; neither shall they take a woman put away from her husband: for he {is} holy unto his God.
'You gotta set him apart; he’s serving the bread of your God, so he’s gotta be lit for you: I’m the Lord, and I keep it holy.'
Thou shalt sanctify him therefore; for he offereth the bread of thy God: he shall be holy unto thee: for I the LORD, which sanctify you, {am} holy.
'And if any priest's daughter plays the thot, she’s dissing her pops; she’s getting burned, fr.'
And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the whore, she profaneth her father: she shall be burnt with fire.
'And the high priest, the one with the anointing oil, can’t mess with his head or rip his threads; that's a no-go.'
And {he that is} the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend his clothes;
'He can’t go near any dead body or defile himself for his parents; gotta keep it 100.'
Neither shall he go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his father, or for his mother;
'He can’t bounce from the sanctuary or mess it up; the crown of anointing oil’s on him: I’m the Lord.'
Neither shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the crown of the anointing oil of his God {is} upon him: I {am} the LORD.
'And he’s gotta take a wife who's still a virgin, periodt.'
And he shall take a wife in her virginity.
'No widows, divorced women, or thots; he needs a virgin from his own crew.'
A widow, or a divorced woman, or profane, {or} an harlot, these shall he not take: but he shall take a virgin of his own people to wife.
'He can’t mess with his lineage; I’m the Lord, keeping him holy.'
Neither shall he profane his seed among his people: for I the LORD do sanctify him.
'And the Lord was like to Moses, 'Listen up!''
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
'Tell Aaron, 'Anyone from your fam with a flaw can’t roll up to offer the bread of his God.''
Speak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever {he be} of thy seed in their generations that hath {any} blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God. {bread: or, food}
'If a dude’s got a flaw, like being blind or lame, or a flat nose, he can’t come close.'
For whatsoever man {he be} that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous,
'Or if he’s got a busted foot or hand, that's a hard pass.'
Or a man that is brokenfooted, or brokenhanded,
'Or if he’s crooked, a dwarf, or has a bad eye, or is scurvy, or scabbed, or broken down there.'
Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken; {a dwarf: or, too slender}
'No dude with a flaw from Aaron's squad can come near to offer the Lord's fire offerings; he’s got a flaw, so nah.'
No man that hath a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God.
'He can munch on the bread of his God, both the most holy and the holy.'
He shall eat the bread of his God, {both} of the most holy, and of the holy.
'But he can’t roll into the veil or near the altar since he’s got a flaw; can’t mess with my sanctuaries: I’m the Lord, keeping it holy.'
Only he shall not go in unto the vail, nor come nigh unto the altar, because he hath a blemish; that he profane not my sanctuaries: for I the LORD do sanctify them.
'And Moses shared this with Aaron, his sons, and all the kids of Israel.'
And Moses told {it} unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel.
