So Deborah and Barak were vibing that day, saying,

LORD, when thou wentest out of Seir, when thou marchedst out of the field of Edom, the earth trembled, and the heavens dropped, the clouds also dropped water.
The mountains were melting in front of the Lord, even Sinai was like, whoa, in front of the Lord God of Israel.

Back in the days of Shamgar son of Anath and Jael, the highways were empty, and travelers were low-key using the back roads.

The village homies were ghosting, they were MIA in Israel, until I, Deborah, showed up and became a mother figure in Israel.

Gilead was hanging out beyond Jordan: why was Dan just chilling on ships? Asher was posted at the beach, holding it down.

Zebulun and Naphtali were the real ones who risked it all in the high spots of the field.

The kings showed up and threw down, then the kings of Canaan went hard in Taanach by the waters of Megiddo; they didn’t even care about the cash.
The kings came {and} fought, then fought the kings of Canaan in Taanach by the waters of Megiddo; they took no gain of money.
They were fighting from the sky; the stars were out here battling against Sisera.
They fought from heaven; the stars in their courses fought against Sisera. {courses: Heb. paths}
The river Kishon swept them away, like an ancient vibe, for real. Oh my soul, you just crushed it.

The horsehoofs got wrecked from all the prancing, like the rizz of their strong ones was no joke.
Then were the horsehoofs broken by the means of the pransings, the pransings of their mighty ones. {pransings: or, tramplings, or, plungings}
Yo, Meroz is cursed, said the angel of the Lord, like, seriously, curse those who didn’t help the Lord against the strong ones.
Curse ye Meroz, said the angel of the LORD, curse ye bitterly the inhabitants thereof; because they came not to the help of the LORD, to the help of the LORD against the mighty.
Jael, the wife of Heber the Kenite, is blessed above all women, straight up goated in the tent.

He asked for water, and she was like, "Here’s some milk," and served him butter on a fancy plate.

At her feet, he bowed and fell, like he was done for; where he bowed, he just dropped dead.

Sisera's mom was peeping from the window, like, "Why’s his chariot taking forever? Where the wheels at?"
The mother of Sisera looked out at a window, and cried through the lattice, Why is his chariot {so} long in coming? why tarry the wheels of his chariots?
Her wise ladies were like, "Yeah, for sure," and she was answering herself, no doubt.
Her wise ladies answered her, yea, she returned answer to herself, {answer: Heb. her words}
They ain't come back yet? Did they not split the loot; every dude got a girl or two; Sisera got all the colorful stuff, like, fancy needlework for those who take the spoils?
Have they not sped? have they {not} divided the prey; to every man a damsel {or} two; to Sisera a prey of divers colours, a prey of divers colours of needlework, of divers colours of needlework on both sides, {meet} for the necks of {them that take} the spoil? {every...: Heb. the head of a man}
So let all the haters fade away, Lord: but those who vibe with you be like the sun shining bright. And the land was chill for forty years.
So let all thine enemies perish, O LORD: but {let} them that love him {be} as the sun when he goeth forth in his might. And the land had rest forty years.
