Jonah Chapter 2
So Jonah was like, "Yo, God, I need a hand getting outta this fish's belly."
Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of the fish's belly,
He was like, "I shouted 'cause I was in a tough spot, and you heard me; I was in the abyss, and you still had my back."
And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, {and} thou heardest my voice. {by...: or, out of mine affliction} {hell: or, the grave}
"You tossed me into the ocean, waves all around; all your vibes were crashing down on me."
For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me. {midst: Heb. heart}
"I thought that was it for me, but I’ll keep it 100 and look back at your sacred place."
Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple.
"The waters were all over me, felt like I was sinking; the seaweed was totally knotted in my hair."
The waters compassed me about, {even} to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.
"I hit the lowest point, like, way down where the mountains are; but you yanked me back from that edge, no cap."
I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars {was} about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God. {bottoms: Heb. cuttings off} {corruption: or, the pit}
"When I was feeling mad lost, I remembered you, God; my prayer reached you in your holy pad."
When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple.
"People who chase after fake vibes miss out on their own mercy, fr."
They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.
"But I’m gonna shout you out with my voice and keep my promises; salvation’s all you, Lord."
But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay {that} that I have vowed. Salvation {is} of the LORD.
"Then God told the fish, and it totally coughed Jonah up on dry land, what a vibe!"
And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry {land}.
