John Chapter 8
So Jesus rolled up to the Mount of Olives, just chilling.
Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.
Early in the day, he was back at the temple, and everyone was feeling the vibes with him; he plopped down and started teaching, no cap.
And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
The scribes and Pharisees dragged in a woman who was caught cheating, tossing her right in the middle of the crew.
And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,
They said, "Yo, Teacher, this girl got caught in the act."
They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
Moses said we should stone her, but what’s your move, fam?
Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
They were just trying to trip him up, but Jesus was like, “Nah.” He squatted down and started doodling in the dirt, acting like he didn’t catch their vibe.
This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with {his} finger wrote on the ground, {as though he heard them not}.
When they kept pushing him, he stood up and said, "Whoever’s flawless, go ahead and throw the first stone."
So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
Then he went back down, still scribbling in the dirt.
And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
Those who heard him felt that guilt trip and started leaving one by one, starting with the oldest, until it was just Jesus and the woman remaining.
And they which heard {it}, being convicted by {their own} conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, {even} unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
Jesus stood up and saw just her, asking, "Where are your haters? No one called you out?"
When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
She replied, "No way, Lord." And Jesus was like, "I’m not judging you, fam; just bounce and do better. Periodt."
She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
Then Jesus started again, saying, "I’m the light of the world; follow me and you won’t be lost in darkness, you’ll have that life glow."
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
The Pharisees were acting all sus, saying, "You’re just boosting yourself; your claims are suspect."
The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true.
Jesus clapped back, "Even if I'm my own hype man, my truth is valid; I know where I came from and where I'm going, but you can't vibe with that."
Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, {yet} my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go.
"You judge by the surface; I don’t judge anyone."
Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.
"But if I do judge, my judgment is spot on; I’m not alone, it’s me and the Father who sent me."
And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.
"Your law says two witnesses make it real. No cap."
It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.
"I’m one witness for myself, and my Father who sent me backs me up."
I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.
They asked, "Where’s your Dad?" Jesus responded, "You don’t know me or my Dad; if you knew me, you’d know him too."
Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.
Jesus was dropping wisdom in the treasury, teaching in the temple, and no one tried to touch him; it wasn’t his time yet.
These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.
Jesus said, "I’m out, and you’ll be looking for me but won’t catch me. You’ll be stuck in your sins, and where I’m headed, you can’t roll with me."
Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come.
The Jews were like, "Is he planning to off himself? 'Cause he said we can’t follow him."
Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come.
Jesus explained, "You’re from this world, but I’m from above; you’re all about that earthly vibe, but I’m on another level."
And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
"I told you straight, you’re gonna die in your sins. If you don’t believe I’m the one, you’re toast, no cap."
I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am {he}, ye shall die in your sins.
They were like, "Who even are you?" Jesus replied, "I’m the same guy I’ve been letting you know about since day one."
Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even {the same} that I said unto you from the beginning.
"I got plenty to share and judge you on, but the one who sent me is real, and I’m just passing along the truth he gave me."
I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.
They didn’t realize he was talking about the Father, fr.
They understood not that he spake to them of the Father.
Jesus said, "When you guys lift up the Son of Man, you’ll know I’m the one, and everything I say comes from my Father, periodt."
Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am {he}, and {that} I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
"The one who sent me is always with me; the Father hasn’t ghosted me 'cause I’m always doing what pleases him."
And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
As he dropped these gems, a bunch of people began to believe in him.
As he spake these words, many believed on him.
Jesus told the Jews who were vibing with him, "If you keep it real with my word, you’re my true crew, no cap."
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, {then} are ye my disciples indeed;
"You’ll know the truth, and that truth will set you free, fr."
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
They shot back, "We’re Abraham’s fam, never been held down by anyone. Why you say we need freedom?"
They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?
Jesus came back with, "For real, anyone who sins is basically a slave to sin, no cap."
Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
"A servant doesn’t stick around forever, but the Son? He’s here for the long run."
And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: {but} the Son abideth ever.
"If the Son sets you free, you’re truly free, periodt."
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
"I know you’re Abraham’s crew, but you’re trying to take me out because my word doesn’t vibe with you."
I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.
"I’m speaking what I’ve seen with my Father, and you’re doing what you’ve seen with your dad."
I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.
They replied, "Abraham’s our dad." Jesus said, "If you were really his kids, you’d be doing what he did."
They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.
"But now you’re trying to take me down, a dude who told you the truth I got from God. That’s not how Abraham would roll."
But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.
Y'all do what your dad does. They said, "We ain't born from no drama; we got one Dad, for real, God."
Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, {even} God.
Jesus was like, "If God was your Dad, you'd vibe with me. I came straight from God, not just on my own."
Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
Why can’t y’all get my message? It’s 'cause you can't hear my words, fr.
Why do ye not understand my speech? {even} because ye cannot hear my word.
You’re acting just like your dad, the devil, and you do what he wants. He’s been a killer from day one and ain't about the truth; he’s sus, lying all the time.
Ye are of {your} father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. {of his own: or, from his own will or disposition}
And since I keep it real with you, you don’t believe me, no cap.
And because I tell {you} the truth, ye believe me not.
Which one of you can call me out on sin? If I’m speaking truth, why don’t you vibe with me?
Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?
If you’re with God, you hear His words; you don’t hear them 'cause you ain't with God.
He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear {them} not, because ye are not of God.
Then the Jews were like, "Aren't we right to say you’re a Samaritan and got a demon?"
Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil?
Jesus was like, "I ain’t got a demon; I just respect my Dad, and you guys are dissing me."
Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me.
I’m not here for my own hype; there’s someone who’s got my back and judges right.
And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth.
For real, for real, if you vibe with my words, you ain't ever gonna see death.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.
The Jews were like, "Ayo, you got a devil, fam. Abraham's dead, and the prophets too; how you gonna say that?"
Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death.
You think you’re better than our dude Abraham, who’s gone? And the prophets are out too; who do you think you are?
Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself?
Jesus was like, "If I hype myself up, it means nothing; it’s my Father who gives me that rizz, and y’all call him your God."
Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:
But y’all don’t even know him; I do. If I said I didn’t know him, I’d be capping like you; I know him and follow what he says.
Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.
Your boy Abraham was lit to see my day; he saw it and was totally vibing.
Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw {it}, and was glad.
The Jews were like, "You ain't even fifty yet, how you seen Abraham?"
Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?
Jesus hit them with, "For real, for real, before Abraham was even a thing, I am."
Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
So they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus dipped out and ghosted through the crowd, no cap.
Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
