John Chapter 12
So, Jesus showed up in Bethany six days before Passover, where Lazarus, the dude he brought back to life, was just chilling.
Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.
They threw a feast for him, and Martha was out there serving the vibes; Lazarus was just hanging at the table with him.
There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.
Mary brought this super pricey pound of spikenard ointment, anointed Jesus' feet, and wiped them with her hair; the whole house was smelling fire.
Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.
Then Judas Iscariot, one of the disciples and Simon's son, was like, "Yo, we gotta discuss this situation."
Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's {son}, which should betray him,
He asked, "Why not sell this ointment for three hundred bucks and help the needy?"
Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?
He said this not 'cause he cared about the needy, but 'cause he was a thief who held the money bag, taking what was in it.
This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.
Jesus was like, "Chill, let her do her thing; she’s saving this for my burial."
Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this.
You’ll always have the needy with you, but you won’t always have me, fr.
For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always.
A lot of Jews knew he was there, and they came not just for Jesus, but to check out Lazarus too, the dude who got raised from the dead.
Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.
But the chief priests were plotting to take Lazarus out too; that’s wild.
But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death;
A bunch of Jews bounced and started vibing with Jesus, no cap.
Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.
The next day, a ton of people showed up to the feast, hyped that Jesus was rolling into Jerusalem.
On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
They grabbed palm branches and went to meet him, shouting, "Hosanna! Blessed is the King of Israel who comes in the name of the Lord!"
Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed {is} the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.
Jesus found a young donkey and hopped on it, just like it was written.
And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,
No stress, daughter of Zion: your King is rolling in, riding on a donkey's colt.
Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt.
At first, the disciples were like, "What?" But after Jesus got all the glory, they remembered these vibes were about him.
These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and {that} they had done these things unto him.
The crew that was with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb and brought him back to life were the witnesses.
The people therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record.
That’s why so many peeps came to see him; they heard about that miracle, and it was legit.
For this cause the people also met him, for that they heard that he had done this miracle.
The Pharisees were low-key stressing, saying, "Do you see we ain't got no clout? The whole world is vibing with him!"
The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him.
Some Greeks were in the mix, coming to worship at the feast.
And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast:
So this dude rolled up to Philip from Bethsaida, like, "Yo, we wanna see Jesus."
The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.
Philip hit up Andrew and they both went to tell Jesus, no cap.
Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus.
Jesus replied, "The time has come for the Son of Man to make moves."
And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.
For real, I’m telling you, unless a grain of wheat falls and dies, it’s just chilling by itself; but if it dies, it’s gonna produce mad fruit.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
Whoever loves their life is gonna lose it; but if you hate your life in this world, you’ll keep it for eternal vibes.
He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
If anyone wants to serve me, they gotta follow me; and where I’m at, my crew will be too: my Dad's gonna honor whoever serves me.
If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will {my} Father honour.
My soul’s kinda stressed right now; what should I say? "Dad, save me from this moment?" But I came for this moment, fr.
Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.
Dad, make Your name pop. Then a voice from heaven dropped, saying, "I’ve made it pop, and I’ll do it again."
Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, {saying}, I have both glorified {it}, and will glorify {it} again.
The crowd that heard it was like, "Did that just thunder?" Others were like, "An angel just talked to him."
The people therefore, that stood by, and heard {it}, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.
Jesus said, "That voice wasn’t for me, it was for you guys."
Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.
Now is the judgment of this world: the prince of this world is about to get canceled.
Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
And I, if I get lifted up from the earth, I'm gonna draw everyone to me, no cap.
And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all {men} unto me.
This he said to show how he was gonna go down, fr.
This he said, signifying what death he should die.
The crowd was like, "We heard the law says Christ is forever, so why you saying the Son of Man has to get lifted up? Who even is this Son of Man?"
The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?
Then Jesus was like, "Yo, the light's only here for a minute. Walk while you got the light, or else the darkness is gonna hit you: if you're in the dark, you won’t even know where you’re going."
Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
While you got the light, trust in it, so you can be the children of light. Jesus said this, then dipped and hid from them.
While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.
But even after he performed so many miracles, they still didn’t believe, savage.
But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:
So the prophecy of Esaias got fulfilled, saying, "Lord, who even believed our message? And who’s seen the Lord's power?"
That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?
They couldn’t believe, 'cause Esaias said again,
Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again,
He made their eyes blind and their hearts hard; so they wouldn’t see with their eyes or understand with their hearts and be changed, and I could heal them.
He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with {their} eyes, nor understand with {their} heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
Esaias was all like, "I saw His glory, and had to spill the tea."
These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.
Lowkey, a lot of the big shots believed in Him, but they were sus and didn’t wanna flex it 'cause of the Pharisees.
Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess {him}, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:
They were more about getting clout from people than the real deal from God.
For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
Jesus was like, "If you vibin' with me, you’re really vibin' with the one who sent me."
Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.
And if you catch my vibe, you catch the vibe of the one who sent me.
And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.
I’m the light in this world, so if you believe in me, you won’t be stuck in the dark, fr.
I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
If you hear my words and still don’t believe, it’s all good; I’m not here to judge, just to save, periodt.
And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
If you ghost me and don’t vibe with my words, you got a judge: the word I dropped will be the one to judge you later.
He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
I didn’t come up with this on my own; the Father who sent me gave me the 411 on what to say.
For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
And I know His command is life forever, so whatever I say is straight from the Father, no cap.
And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
