John Chapter 10
For real, if you don’t come in through the door to the sheep fold but try to creep in another way, you’re just a thief, no cap.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
But if you enter through the door, you’re the ultimate shepherd of the sheep.
But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
The gatekeeper opens the door for him; the sheep hear his vibe, and he calls them by name and leads them out.
To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
When he brings out his own sheep, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they recognize his voice, fr.
And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
They won’t follow a stranger; they’ll bounce because they don’t vibe with a stranger's voice.
And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.
Jesus dropped this parable on them, but they were totally confused about what he was saying, fr.
This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.
So Jesus was like, “For real, I’m the door for the sheep.”
Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
Everyone who came before me was just a thief and a robber, but the sheep weren’t down for that.
All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
I’m the door; if anyone enters through me, they’ll be saved and can vibe in and out, finding solid pastures.
I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy; I came so they could live their best life, like, for real.
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have {it} more abundantly.
I'm the solid shepherd, fr. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep, no cap.
I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
But the hired hand, who ain't really the shepherd, sees the wolf coming and dips, leaving the sheep to get wrecked.
But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.
The hired hand bounces 'cause he’s just a hired dude and doesn’t care about the sheep, sus.
The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.
I'm the solid shepherd; I know my sheep, and they know me, periodt.
I am the good shepherd, and know my {sheep}, and am known of mine.
Just like the Father knows me, I know the Father, and I'm here to lay down my life for the sheep, bet.
As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
I got other sheep that aren't in this crew, and I gotta bring them in too; they'll hear my voice, and we’ll all be one squad with one shepherd.
And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, {and} one shepherd.
That’s why my Father loves me—'cause I lay down my life to pick it back up, lit.
Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
No one takes it from me; I drop it myself. I have the power to lay it down and to take it back, no cap. My Father gave me this command.
No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
So there was some drama among the Jews about what I just said, fr.
There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings.
A bunch of them were like, "He's got a devil and is wild; why are you even listening to him?"
And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him?
Some folks were like, "This guy ain't sus, right? Can a devil even open blind eyes?"
Others said, These are not the words of him that hath a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?
So, it was in Jerusalem for the dedication feast, and yeah, it was winter vibes.
And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.
Jesus was just chilling in the temple on Solomon's porch, vibing.
And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch.
Then the Jews rolled up to him, asking, "How long you gonna keep us guessing? If you’re the Christ, just spill it."
Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. {make...: or, hold us in suspense}
Jesus was like, "I already told you, but y'all didn’t believe. The things I do in my Father’s name? They’re proof, no cap."
Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.
"But you don’t believe, 'cause you ain't part of my squad, like I said."
But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
"My squad hears my voice, and I know them, and they follow me, fr."
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
"I give them eternal life; they ain't gonna fade away, and nobody can snatch them outta my grip."
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any {man} pluck them out of my hand.
"My Father, who gave them to me, is way greater than all; no one can take them outta my Father’s hands, periodt."
My Father, which gave {them} me, is greater than all; and no {man} is able to pluck {them} out of my Father's hand.
"Me and my Father, we’re one, no doubt."
I and {my} Father are one.
The Jews were like, "Time to throw hands again," and grabbed stones to throw at him.
Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
Jesus was like, "I’ve shown you mad good vibes from my Dad; which of those vibes got me in trouble?"
Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
The Jews shot back, "We ain't stoning you for good stuff, but for being sus and claiming you’re God, fam."
The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
Jesus hit them with, "Ain't it written in your own law, ‘Ye are gods’?"
Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
If God called them gods, and His word is solid, you can't just ignore that, fr.
If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
So you’re saying the one the Father blessed and sent is blasphemous just 'cause I said I’m the Son of God? That’s wild.
Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
If I ain't doing my Dad's work, then don’t believe me, no cap.
If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.
But if I am, even if you don’t vibe with me, peep the works: know that the Father’s in me, and I’m in Him.
But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father {is} in me, and I in him.
So they tried to grab him again, but he pulled a slick move and slipped away.
Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand,
He bounced back to the other side of Jordan, to where John first baptized, and just chilled there.
And went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John at first baptized; and there he abode.
Mad peeps came to him, saying, "John didn’t do any wild stuff, but everything he said about this dude was facts."
And many resorted unto him, and said, John did no miracle: but all things that John spake of this man were true.
A bunch of them straight up believed in him there.
And many believed on him there.
