Job Chapter 34
So Elihu started speaking up and let it all out.
Furthermore Elihu answered and said,
Yo, wise fam; open your ears, you who know the deal.
Hear my words, O ye wise {men}; and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge.
Just like ears catch the words, mouths gotta vibe with the flavor of food.
For the ear trieth words, as the mouth tasteth meat. {mouth: Heb. palate}
Let’s dig into what's right and keep it real with each other about the solid stuff.
Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among ourselves what {is} good.
Job's straight up saying, "I'm totally innocent," but God’s lowkey taken away my opportunities.
For Job hath said, I am righteous: and God hath taken away my judgment.
Should I really be lying about my truth? My struggle's real and I ain't done anything shady.
Should I lie against my right? my wound {is} incurable without transgression. {my wound: Heb. mine arrow}
Who’s even on Job's level, sipping on that shade like it’s water?
What man {is} like Job, {who} drinketh up scorning like water?
He’s rolling with the shady crew and chilling with the wicked squad.
Which goeth in company with the workers of iniquity, and walketh with wicked men.
He’s basically saying it's no flex for a dude to vibe with God and be chill.
For he hath said, It profiteth a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.
So check it out, smart folks: God’s not about that wicked lifestyle; the Almighty doesn’t mess with injustice, fr.
Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: far be it from God, {that he should do} wickedness; and {from} the Almighty, {that he should commit} iniquity. {men...: Heb. men of heart}
For the hustle of a person, he’s gonna reap what he sows, everyone’s gonna catch their vibes based on their actions.
For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man to find according to {his} ways.
No cap, God’s not into that wicked vibe, and the Almighty won’t twist the truth, periodt.
Yea, surely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert judgment.
Who even gave him the keys to everything? Like, who’s running this whole situation?
Who hath given him a charge over the earth? or who hath disposed the whole world? {the whole: Heb. all of it?}
If he’s all about humanity, if he takes away their spirit and breath;
If he set his heart upon man, {if} he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath; {man: Heb. him}
All flesh gonna vanish together, and humans will just turn to dust, no cap.
All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust.
If you’re woke, pay attention: vibe with the words I’m dropping.
If now {thou hast} understanding, hear this: hearken to the voice of my words.
Can someone who hates what’s right really lead? Are you really gonna call out the most just?
Shall even he that hateth right govern? and wilt thou condemn him that is most just? {govern: Heb. bind?}
Is it cool to tell a king he’s sus? And to nobles, "Y’all are wicked?"
{Is it fit} to say to a king, {Thou art} wicked? {and} to princes, {Ye are} ungodly?
How much less to the one who doesn’t show favoritism to the rich or the poor? They’re all just his creations, periodt.
{How much less to him} that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all {are} the work of his hands.
In a blink, they’ll be out, and folks will be shook at midnight, just fading away: the strong will be taken down without a fight.
In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away without hand. {the mighty...: Heb. they shall take away the mighty}
His eyes are always peeping our moves, and he notices everything we do. No cap.
For his eyes {are} upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.
There’s no darkness or shady places where the bad guys can hide. Periodt.
{There is} no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
He won’t put more on us than we can handle; we gotta keep it real with God.
For he will not lay upon man more {than right}; that he should enter into judgment with God. {enter: Heb. go}
He’ll smash the strong ones like it’s nothing and swap them out with others. Lit.
He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and set others in their stead. {number: Heb. searching out}
He knows their plans, flipping the script at night so they get wrecked.
Therefore he knoweth their works, and he overturneth {them} in the night, so that they are destroyed. {destroyed: Heb. crushed}
He goes after the wicked folks right in front of everyone; savage vibes.
He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others; {open...: Heb. place of beholders}
They turned their backs on him and didn’t even think about his ways; sus.
Because they turned back from him, and would not consider any of his ways: {him: Heb. after him}
They make the poor cry out to him, and he hears the cries of those in need.
So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he heareth the cry of the afflicted.
When he brings peace, who can stir up problems? And if he hides, who can see him? Bet.
When he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hideth {his} face, who then can behold him? whether {it be done} against a nation, or against a man only:
So the fake ones don’t rule, or else the people get caught up.
That the hypocrite reign not, lest the people be ensnared.
For real, I gotta hit up God, I’ve learned my lesson, no cap, I won’t slip up again.
Surely it is meet to be said unto God, I have borne {chastisement}, I will not offend {any more}:
Teach me what I don’t catch, fam: if I messed up, I won’t do it again, periodt.
{That which} I see not teach thou me: if I have done iniquity, I will do no more.
Is this how you roll? He’ll sort it out, whether you’re down or not; it’s not on me, so just say what you know.
{Should it be} according to thy mind? he will recompense it, whether thou refuse, or whether thou choose; and not I: therefore speak what thou knowest. {according...: Heb. from with thee?}
Let the wise ones drop some truth on me, and let a smart dude listen up.
Let men of understanding tell me, and let a wise man hearken unto me. {of...: Heb. of heart}
Job is chatting without the smarts, and his words are just not hitting.
Job hath spoken without knowledge, and his words {were} without wisdom.
I just wanna see Job get tested till the end ‘cause of his replies for the wicked peeps.
My desire {is that} Job may be tried unto the end because of {his} answers for wicked men. {My...: or, My father, let Job be tried}
He’s just adding more drama to his sin, throwing shade at us, and talking mad trash about God.
For he addeth rebellion unto his sin, he clappeth {his hands} among us, and multiplieth his words against God.
