Isaiah Chapter 55
Ayo, if you're feeling parched, swing by the waters, and if you ain't got cash, slide through for some solid snacks; like, grab that wine and milk for free, no cap.
Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
Why you wasting cash on snacks that don’t slap? Hustlin’ for stuff that don’t fill you up? Peep this, feast on what’s dope, and let your soul vibe with the real deal.
Wherefore do ye spend money for {that which is} not bread? and your labour for {that which} satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye {that which is} good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. {spend: Heb. weigh}
So roll up to me and listen: if you do this, your soul will thrive; I’m laying down a forever deal with you, just like the fire mercy I showed David.
Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, {even} the sure mercies of David.
Peep it, I made him a witness for the crew, a leader and captain for the squad.
Behold, I have given him {for} a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.
No cap, you’ll call up a nation you’ve never even met, and nations that don’t know you will pull up to you ’cause of the Lord your God; He’s got you looking blessed.
Behold, thou shalt call a nation {that} thou knowest not, and nations {that} knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.
Seek the Lord while He’s around, hit Him up while He’s near.
Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
Let the wicked drop their ways, and the unrighteous the sus thoughts; come back to the Lord, and He’ll show mad grace; our God is all about that forgiveness vibe.
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. {the unrighteous...: Heb. the man of iniquity} {abundantly...: Heb. multiply to pardon}
For real, my thoughts ain't your thoughts, and my ways ain't your ways, says the Lord, no cap.
For my thoughts {are} not your thoughts, neither {are} your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
As the skies are way higher than the ground, my ways are on a whole other level than yours, and my thoughts are lit compared to the ones you're rocking.
For {as} the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Just like rain and snow come down from heaven, and they don’t bounce back, but water the earth and make it grow, giving seeds to the sower and bread to the eater:
For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
So will my word be that goes out from my mouth: it won’t return empty, it’ll do what I want, and it’ll pop off where I sent it.
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper {in the thing} whereto I sent it.
You’ll bounce out with mad joy and be led in peace: the mountains and hills will be vibing, and all the trees will be clapping for you.
For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap {their} hands.
Instead of thorns, there’ll be fir trees, and instead of briars, there’ll be myrtle trees: this will be for the Lord’s name, a forever sign that won’t get cut off.
Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign {that} shall not be cut off.
