Isaiah Chapter 56
So the Lord was saying, "Stay true and do what’s right; my salvation’s on the way, and my vibes are about to drop."
Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation {is} near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed. {judgment: or, equity}
For real, blessed is the dude who rolls with this, and the one who’s down; keep the sabbath hype and ditch the sus moves.
Blessed {is} the man {that} doeth this, and the son of man {that} layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.
And don’t let the outsider vibing with the Lord say, "I’m totally out of the loop," or let the eunuch say, "I’m just a barren tree."
Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I {am} a dry tree.
The Lord’s got some words for the eunuchs who vibe with my sabbaths, choose what pleases me, and stick to my covenant;
For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose {the things} that please me, and take hold of my covenant;
I’ll set them up with a place in my crib and give them a name that’s better than sons and daughters: an eternal name, no cap.
Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
And the outsiders jumping in with the Lord to serve him and love his name, keeping the sabbath from being sus and holding onto my covenant;
Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
I’ll bring them to my holy mountain and get them hyped in my prayer house; their gifts will be accepted on my altar, since my house is a prayer zone for all peeps.
Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices {shall be} accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
The Lord God, who rounds up the outcasts of Israel, says, "I’ll gather even more peeps besides those already here."
The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather {others} to him, beside those that are gathered unto him. {beside...: Heb. to his gathered}
Yo, all you wild creatures, pull up and feast, yeah, all you beasts in the woods.
All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, {yea}, all ye beasts in the forest.
His watchmen are blind: they’re lost, like dumb dogs that can’t even bark; just chilling and loving the snooze.
His watchmen {are} blind: they are all ignorant, they {are} all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. {sleeping: or, dreaming, or, talking in their sleep}
For real, they’re greedy pups who can’t get their fill, and they’re sheepherders who just don’t get it; all they care about is their own hustle.
Yea, {they are} greedy dogs {which} can never have enough, and they {are} shepherds {that} cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter. {greedy: Heb. strong of appetite} {can...: Heb. know not to be satisfied}
They’re like, "Yo, let’s pop some bottles and get lit; tomorrow’s gonna be just as wild, if not more."
Come ye, {say they}, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to morrow shall be as this day, {and} much more abundant.
