Isaiah Chapter 2
So Isaiah, the dude son of Amoz, got a vision about Judah and Jerusalem. Vibes check.
The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
In the final days, the Lord's crib is gonna be the top spot, towering over all the peaks; nations are gonna pull up to it.
And it shall come to pass in the last days, {that} the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. {established: or, prepared}
A bunch of people gonna be like, "Ayo, let’s head to the Lord’s mountain, the house of Jacob's God; He’ll educate us on His ways, and we’ll vibe with His paths, 'cause the law and the word of the Lord gonna drop from Jerusalem."
And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
He’s gonna judge the nations and call out the folks; they’ll turn their swords into farming tools and squash the war vibes.
And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. {pruninghooks: or, scythes}
Ayo, house of Jacob, let’s strut in the light of the Lord.
O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.
But you’ve ghosted your crew, the house of Jacob, 'cause they’re on that east coast grind, acting sus like the Philistines, hanging with outsiders.
Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and {are} soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers. {from...: or, more than the} {please...: or, abound with the}
Their land is loaded with silver and gold, treasure for days; it’s also got mad horses and chariots, no cap.
Their land also is full of silver and gold, neither {is there any} end of their treasures; their land is also full of horses, neither {is there any} end of their chariots:
Their land is packed with idols; they worship their own creations, straight flexing.
Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:
The average Joes bow down, and the big shots are humbled; so don’t even trip about forgiving them.
And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not.
Duck into the rocks and hide in the dust, 'cause the Lord’s glory is no joke.
Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty.
The proud gonna be brought low, and the Lord alone gonna be the GOAT on that day.
The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
The day of the Lord is rolling in for everyone who's feeling all high and mighty; they gonna be humbled, fr.
For the day of the LORD of hosts {shall be} upon every {one that is} proud and lofty, and upon every {one that is} lifted up; and he shall be brought low:
That includes all the tall cedars of Lebanon and the massive oaks of Bashan.
And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, {that are} high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan,
All the high mountains and hills that think they're the real deal too.
And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills {that are} lifted up,
Every tall tower and walled city gonna face the same fate.
And upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall,
All the ships of Tarshish and the chill vibes of pretty pics gonna get wrecked.
And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures. {pleasant...: Heb. pictures of desire}
The pride of man gonna be humbled, and only the Lord gonna be shining on that day.
And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
And those idols? Yeah, they gonna get totally canceled.
And the idols he shall utterly abolish. {he...: or, shall utterly pass away}
They gonna hide in the rocks and caves, shook by the Lord’s glory when He shakes the earth like it’s nothing.
And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth. {of the earth: Heb. of the dust}
On that day, people gonna toss their silver and gold idols, crafted for their own worship, to the moles and bats.
In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made {each one} for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats; {his idols of silver...: Heb. the idols of his silver, etc} {each...: or, for him}
They’ll be diving into rock crevices and high spots, shook by the Lord's glory when He shakes the earth.
To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
Chill with the humans, whose breath is just a puff; what's the point of stressing over them?
Cease ye from man, whose breath {is} in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?
