Isaiah Chapter 3
Ayo, peep this, the Lord, the head honcho, is snatching the whole vibe from Jerusalem and Judah—no bread, no hydration, it's a full-on drought, fr.
For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water,
The tough guy, the soldier, the judge, the seer, the wise dudes, and the legends, all vanished.
The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient,
The leader of fifty, the respected homie, the counselor, the slick builder, and the smooth talker? All dipped.
The captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator. {the honourable...: Heb. a man eminent in countenance} {eloquent...: or, skilful of speech}
I’m gonna have youngsters run the show, and the littles are gonna take charge, no cap.
And I will give children {to be} their princes, and babes shall rule over them.
Everyone’s gonna be stressing each other; the kid’s gonna get all cocky with the elders, and the low-key gonna front on the respected ones.
And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable.
When a dude pulls his bro from the fam and says, "You got the sauce, lead us and sort this chaos out."
When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, {saying}, Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and {let} this ruin {be} under thy hand:
On that day, he’ll be like, "Nah, I can't fix this; I got no food or threads in my crib, don’t put me in charge of the crew."
In that day shall he swear, saying, I will not be an healer; for in my house {is} neither bread nor clothing: make me not a ruler of the people. {swear: Heb. lift up the hand} {healer: Heb. binder up}
Jerusalem’s totally wrecked, and Judah’s struggling hard, 'cause their words and actions are straight-up against the Lord, flexing on His glory.
For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings {are} against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory.
Their faces are all sus, exposing their sins like Sodom, not even trying to hide it. Woe to them! They’re just serving themselves bad vibes.
The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide {it} not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.
Let the good folks know it’s all good for them; they’re gonna reap the benefits of their actions, periodt.
Say ye to the righteous, that {it shall be} well {with him}: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.
The wicked are gonna take some major Ls; their actions will come back around, no cap.
Woe unto the wicked! {it shall be} ill {with him}: for the reward of his hands shall be given him. {given...: Heb. done to him}
My people be struggling, with kids acting all hard and women leading the charge. They’re leading you off track, fr, and ruining the whole vibe.
{As for} my people, children {are} their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause {thee} to err, and destroy the way of thy paths. {lead...: or, call thee blessed} {destroy: Heb. swallow up}
The Lord's stepping in to defend and judge the crew, periodt.
The LORD standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the people.
God’s about to call out the old heads and the big players, 'cause y’all been draining the resources and leaving the needy high and dry.
The LORD will enter into judgment with the ancients of his people, and the princes thereof: for ye have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor {is} in your houses. {eaten: or, burnt}
Why you out here breaking my people and flexing on the less fortunate? That’s a big no from the Lord of Hosts.
What mean ye {that} ye beat my people to pieces, and grind the faces of the poor? saith the Lord GOD of hosts.
The Lord's saying, "Y’all daughters of Zion are acting all boujee, strutting around with those looks and fancy steps."
Moreover the LORD saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing {as} they go, and making a tinkling with their feet: {wanton...: Heb. deceiving with their eyes} {mincing: or, tripping nicely}
So, the Lord’s gonna hit you with some shame on that crown, and expose what you try to hide, sus.
Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will discover their secret parts. {discover: Heb. make naked}
On that day, God’s taking away all your flashy items and those cute little accessories you flaunt.
In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of {their} tinkling ornaments {about their feet}, and {their} cauls, and {their} round tires like the moon, {cauls: or, networks}
The chains, bracelets, and scarves? Yeah, those are getting taken too.
The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers, {chains: or, sweet balls} {mufflers: or, spangled ornaments}
All the bonnets, leg bling, headbands, tablets, and earrings? Bye, fam.
The bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, and the headbands, and the tablets, and the earrings, {tablets: Heb. houses of the soul}
The rings and nose bling,
The rings, and nose jewels,
The drip with the fits, and the capes, and the head wraps, and the curling tools,
The changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the wimples, and the crisping pins,
The shades, and the fine threads, and the hoods, and the veils.
The glasses, and the fine linen, and the hoods, and the vails.
It’s gonna be wild, instead of sweet vibes there’ll be stank; instead of a cute belt, a tear; instead of fresh hair, baldness; instead of a dope fit, sackcloth; and fire instead of beauty.
And it shall come to pass, {that} instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; {and} burning instead of beauty.
Your guys gonna drop by the sword, and your strong ones in the battle.
Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty in the war. {mighty: Heb. might}
And her gates gonna be all gloomy and mournful; and she, all alone, will sit on the ground.
And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she {being} desolate shall sit upon the ground. {desolate: or, emptied: Heb. cleansed}
