Genesis Chapter 45
Joseph couldn't keep it together anymore with everyone around, so he kicked them out. It was just him and his bros left, and he revealed who he really was.
Then Joseph could not refrain himself before all them that stood by him; and he cried, Cause every man to go out from me. And there stood no man with him, while Joseph made himself known unto his brethren.
He was sobbing loud enough that the Egyptians and Pharaoh's squad heard him.
And he wept aloud: and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard. {wept...: Heb. gave forth his voice in weeping}
Joseph told his bros, ‘Yo, I’m Joseph! Is Dad still kicking?’ But they were hella confused and just froze.
And Joseph said unto his brethren, I {am} Joseph; doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence. {troubled: or, terrified}
He said, ‘Come closer, fam.’ They stepped up, and he was like, ‘I’m your bro Joseph, the one you sold off to Egypt.’
And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I {am} Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt.
So chill out, don’t be salty about the whole selling thing; God sent me here first to save lives, no cap.
Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life. {nor...: Heb. neither let there be anger in your eyes}
We’ve been in a famine for two years, and we’ve got five more to go with zero food or harvest.
For these two years {hath} the famine {been} in the land: and yet {there are} five years, in the which {there shall} neither {be} earing nor harvest.
God sent me ahead to keep your fam safe and pull off a major move.
And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. {to preserve...: Heb. to put for you a remnant}
So it’s not you guys who brought me here, but God; He made me a leader to Pharaoh, head honcho of his entire crew, and ruler of Egypt.
So now {it was} not you {that} sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.
Rush and tell my dad, ‘Yo, Joseph says God made me lord over all of Egypt. Come through and don’t waste time!’
Haste ye, and go up to my father, and say unto him, Thus saith thy son Joseph, God hath made me lord of all Egypt: come down unto me, tarry not:
You’ll chill in Goshen, right by me, you, your kids, grandkids, flocks, and all your gear.
And thou shalt dwell in the land of Goshen, and thou shalt be near unto me, thou, and thy children, and thy children's children, and thy flocks, and thy herds, and all that thou hast:
I got you, fam; I’ll set you up for five more years of famine vibes, so you don’t end up broke.
And there will I nourish thee; for yet {there are} five years of famine; lest thou, and thy household, and all that thou hast, come to poverty.
Yo, if you see me and my bro Benjamin vibing, it’s me chatting with you.
And, behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, that {it is} my mouth that speaketh unto you.
Tell my dad about all the dope stuff I got happening in Egypt, and hurry up, bring him here!
And ye shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that ye have seen; and ye shall haste and bring down my father hither.
He hugged Benjamin and was straight-up crying; Benjamin felt it too.
And he fell upon his brother Benjamin's neck, and wept; and Benjamin wept upon his neck.
He showed love to all his bros with hugs and tears, then they started catching up.
Moreover he kissed all his brethren, and wept upon them: and after that his brethren talked with him.
Word got around Pharaoh's crib that Joseph's fam rolled up, and he was totally on board with it.
And the fame thereof was heard in Pharaoh's house, saying, Joseph's brethren are come: and it pleased Pharaoh well, and his servants. {pleased...: Heb. was good in the eyes of Pharaoh}
Pharaoh told Joseph, ‘Yo, tell your bros to load up their rides and bounce back to Canaan.’
And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Say unto thy brethren, This do ye; lade your beasts, and go, get you unto the land of Canaan;
Bring your dad and your whole crew to me, and I’ll bless you with the best of Egypt’s vibes.
And take your father and your households, and come unto me: and I will give you the good of the land of Egypt, and ye shall eat the fat of the land.
For real, grab some wagons for your kids and wives, and bring your dad back here.
Now thou art commanded, this do ye; take you wagons out of the land of Egypt for your little ones, and for your wives, and bring your father, and come.
Don’t even worry about your stuff; the solid stuff in Egypt is all yours, no cap.
Also regard not your stuff; for the good of all the land of Egypt {is} yours. {regard...: Heb. let not your eye spare, etc.}
The fam of Israel pulled up and followed what Joseph said. He hooked them up with rides and snacks for the journey, no cap.
And the children of Israel did so: and Joseph gave them wagons, according to the commandment of Pharaoh, and gave them provision for the way. {commandment: Heb. mouth}
He blessed each dude with fresh fits, but to Benjamin, he threw in 300 silver coins and three fly outfits.
To all of them he gave each man changes of raiment; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred {pieces} of silver, and five changes of raiment.
He sent his dad ten donkeys loaded with the best goods from Egypt, plus ten female donkeys packed with grain and bread for the trip.
And to his father he sent after this {manner}; ten asses laden with the good things of Egypt, and ten she asses laden with corn and bread and meat for his father by the way. {laden...: Heb. carrying}
Then he told his bros, ‘Ayo, don’t mess up on the way back.’
So he sent his brethren away, and they departed: and he said unto them, See that ye fall not out by the way.
They dipped out of Egypt and cruised into Canaan to find Jacob, their pops.
And they went up out of Egypt, and came into the land of Canaan unto Jacob their father,
They hit him with the news: ‘Joseph’s alive, and he’s running the whole Egypt scene.’ Jacob was shook and couldn’t believe it, fr.
And told him, saying, Joseph {is} yet alive, and he {is} governor over all the land of Egypt. And Jacob's heart fainted, for he believed them not. {Jacob's: Heb. his}
They spilled all the tea about what Joseph said, and when he peeped the rides Joseph sent, it revived him, vibes restored.
And they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said unto them: and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived:
Israel was like, ‘That’s lit; my son Joseph is alive! I’m gonna see him before I kick the bucket.’
And Israel said, {It is} enough; Joseph my son {is} yet alive: I will go and see him before I die.
