Exodus Chapter 33
So the Lord told Moses, "Dip and roll with the squad you brought from Egypt, to the land I promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, 'I got your back and the fam.'"
And the LORD said unto Moses, Depart, {and} go up hence, thou and the people which thou hast brought up out of the land of Egypt, unto the land which I sware unto Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, Unto thy seed will I give it:
"I’m sending an angel ahead of you; I’ll boot out the Canaanite, Amorite, Hittite, Perizzite, Hivite, and Jebusite, no cap."
And I will send an angel before thee; and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite:
"To a land flowing with milk and honey: I’m not vibing with you, though, 'cause you’re kinda stiff-necked; I might just wipe you out on the way."
Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of thee; for thou {art} a stiffnecked people: lest I consume thee in the way.
When the crew heard this wild news, they were shook and didn’t even flex their bling.
And when the people heard these evil tidings, they mourned: and no man did put on him his ornaments.
The Lord told Moses, "Let the Israelites know, you’re a stiff-necked crew: I’ll show up in your midst and might consume you, so take off your bling so I know what’s the deal."
For the LORD had said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, Ye {are} a stiffnecked people: I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and consume thee: therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee.
The Israelites took off their bling by Mount Horeb.
And the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by the mount Horeb.
Moses pitched the tabernacle outside the camp, far off, and called it the Tabernacle of the congregation. Anyone wanting to vibe with the Lord went to the tabernacle.
And Moses took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of the congregation. And it came to pass, {that} every one which sought the LORD went out unto the tabernacle of the congregation, which {was} without the camp.
As Moses headed to the tabernacle, all the people stood at their tent doors, peeping at him until he went in.
And it came to pass, when Moses went out unto the tabernacle, {that} all the people rose up, and stood every man {at} his tent door, and looked after Moses, until he was gone into the tabernacle.
When Moses entered the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar came down and stood at the door, and the Lord was kicking it with Moses.
And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood {at} the door of the tabernacle, and {the LORD} talked with Moses.
Everyone peeped the cloudy pillar hanging by the tabernacle door, and they all worshipped, each at their own tent door.
And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand {at} the tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man {in} his tent door.
The Lord chatted with Moses face to face, like homies do. After that, Moses went back to the camp, but his boy Joshua, son of Nun, stayed in the tabernacle.
And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.
Moses said to the Lord, "You told me to bring this people up, but you haven’t let me know who you’re sending with me. Still, you said you know me by name and I’ve found grace in your sight."
And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.
"So, if I’ve found grace in your sight, show me your ways so I can know you and find grace in your sight: and remember, this nation is your squad."
Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation {is} thy people.
He said, "My presence will roll with you, and I’ll give you some chill time."
And he said, My presence shall go {with thee}, and I will give thee rest.
He said, "If your presence isn’t rolling with us, then don’t even bother taking us from here."
And he said unto him, If thy presence go not {with me}, carry us not up hence.
"How will anyone know that me and your people have found grace in your sight? Isn’t it that you go with us? That’s what sets us apart from everyone else on this planet."
For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? {is it} not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that {are} upon the face of the earth.
The Lord told Moses, "I’ll do what you’ve asked, 'cause you’ve found grace in my sight, and I know you by name."
And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.
Moses said, "Please, show me your glory."
And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.
He said, "I’ll let all my goodness pass before you, and I’ll call out my name before you; I’ll be gracious to who I wanna be gracious to and show mercy to who I wanna show mercy."
And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.
He said, "You can’t see my face, 'cause no one can see me and live."
And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.
The Lord said, "Look, there’s a spot next to me; you’ll stand on a rock."
And the LORD said, Behold, {there is} a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:
"When my glory passes by, I’ll put you in a rock crevice and cover you with my hand while I pass by."
And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:
"Then I’ll take away my hand, and you’ll see my back, but my face? Nah, you can’t see that."
And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.
