Exodus Chapter 34
So the Lord was like to Moses, 'Cut out two stone tablets similar to the first ones, and I’ll write the same words on these that you broke.'
And the LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon {these} tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.
Get prepped in the morning, and head up to Mount Sinai to chill with me at the peak.
And be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning unto mount Sinai, and present thyself there to me in the top of the mount.
No one’s allowed to roll with you, and no peeps or critters should be around the mountain.
And no man shall come up with thee, neither let any man be seen throughout all the mount; neither let the flocks nor herds feed before that mount.
Moses chopped out two stone tablets like the first ones, woke up early, and hiked up to Mount Sinai, just as the Lord instructed, holding the two tablets.
And he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone.
The Lord showed up in a cloud and stood by him, flexing His name.
And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.
As the Lord passed by, He said, 'The Lord, the Lord God, super chill and gracious, patient, and overflowing with goodness and truth, no cap.'
And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,
'Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving sin and wrongdoing, but don’t get it twisted; I won’t let the guilty slide; I’ll hit the mistakes of the parents on their kids and grandkids, up to the fourth generation.'
Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear {the guilty}; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth {generation}.
Moses was like, 'No cap,' and hit the ground, worshiping hard.
And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.
He was like, 'If I’ve found favor in your eyes, Lord, please roll with us; we’re a stubborn crew, so forgive our mess-ups and let us be your people.'
And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, go among us; for it {is} a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance.
The Lord was like, 'Check it, I’m making a covenant: I’ll do wild wonders in front of all your peeps that have never been seen anywhere else, and everyone will see the work of the Lord; it’s gonna be epic.'
And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou {art} shall see the work of the LORD: for it {is} a terrible thing that I will do with thee.
Yo, listen up! I’m booting out the Amorites, Canaanites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites from your zone. Major vibes.
Observe thou that which I command thee this day: behold, I drive out before thee the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
Keep it 100 and don’t make deals with the locals where you’re rolling, or it’ll blow up in your face, no cap.
Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee:
You gotta smash their altars, wreck their idols, and chop down their groves. Pop off!
But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves: {images: Heb. statues}
For real, don’t worship any other gods; the Lord’s name is Jealous, and He’s got that savage vibe.
For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name {is} Jealous, {is} a jealous God:
If you make deals with the locals, they’ll be out here chasing their gods, and you might end up munching on their sacrifices, periodt.
Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and {one} call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;
And don’t be taking their daughters for your sons, 'cause they’ll end up chasing after their gods too. That’s sus.
And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods.
No molten gods for you, fam.
Thou shalt make thee no molten gods.
Keep the feast of unleavened bread. Seven days of munching on unleavened bread, just like I told you, when you dipped from Egypt in Abib. Lit!
The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep. Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, in the time of the month Abib: for in the month Abib thou camest out from Egypt.
Everything that pops out first is mine; every male firstborn among your livestock, whether it’s an ox or a sheep.
All that openeth the matrix {is} mine; and every firstling among thy cattle, {whether} ox or sheep, {that is male}. {sheep: or, kid}
But you gotta redeem the firstborn donkey with a lamb, or else you’re gonna break its neck. All your firstborn sons need redeeming too, and no one should roll up to me empty-handed.
But the firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb: and if thou redeem {him} not, then shalt thou break his neck. All the firstborn of thy sons thou shalt redeem. And none shall appear before me empty. {lamb: or, kid}
Work for six days, but on day seven, you chill. Even during planting and harvest, you gotta rest, no cap.
Six days thou shalt work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest: in earing time and in harvest thou shalt rest.
Throw a party for the feast of weeks, celebrating the first wheat harvest, and the end-of-year gathering vibes.
And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the year's end. {year's end: Heb. revolution of the year}
Three times a year, all the guys gotta show up before the Lord God, the big boss of Israel.
Thrice in the year shall all your men children appear before the Lord GOD, the God of Israel.
I’ll kick out the nations in front of you and expand your territory; no one’s gonna want your land when you roll up to see the Lord three times a year.
For I will cast out the nations before thee, and enlarge thy borders: neither shall any man desire thy land, when thou shalt go up to appear before the LORD thy God thrice in the year.
Don’t mix my sacrifice’s blood with yeast; also, don’t leave any leftover Passover feast till morning, that’s sus.
Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the passover be left unto the morning.
Bring the first of your firstfruits to the Lord’s house. And no boiling a kid in its mom’s milk, that’s just savage.
The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring unto the house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.
The Lord told Moses, 'Write these words down: I made a covenant with you and Israel, periodt.'
And the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.
He was chilling with the Lord for forty days and nights, no food or water. He wrote the covenant words, the ten commandments, straight fire.
And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments. {commandments: Heb. words}
When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets, he didn’t even realize his face was glowing from being with the Lord, that’s rizz.
And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.
Aaron and all the Israelites saw Moses, and they were shook because his face was glowing; they were scared to get close, fr.
And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him.
Moses was like, 'Yo, come through,' and Aaron plus the whole squad came to him, and Moses dropped some knowledge.
And Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned unto him: and Moses talked with them.
Then all the kids of Israel showed up, and he hit them with the commandments that the Lord had told him on Mount Sinai.
And afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he gave them in commandment all that the LORD had spoken with him in mount Sinai.
Moses wrapped up chatting and threw a veil on his face, no cap.
And {till} Moses had done speaking with them, he put a vail on his face.
But when Moses popped in front of the Lord to talk, he took the veil off till he dipped out. Then he came out and shared what he was told with the kids of Israel.
But when Moses went in before the LORD to speak with him, he took the vail off, until he came out. And he came out, and spake unto the children of Israel {that} which he was commanded.
The kids of Israel saw Moses’ face glowing, so he put the veil back on until he went in to chat with the Lord again.
And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone: and Moses put the vail upon his face again, until he went in to speak with him.
