Ecclesiastes Chapter 4
So I bounced back and peeped all the struggles under the sun: I noticed the tears of those getting played, with no comfort around; meanwhile, the oppressors were flexing hard, but the oppressed still had no solace.
So I returned, and considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and behold the tears of {such as were} oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors {there was} power; but they had no comforter. {side: Heb. hand}
Honestly, I vibe with the dead way more than the living, no cap.
Wherefore I praised the dead which are already dead more than the living which are yet alive.
For real, the one who hasn’t been born is better off, never catching the sus stuff happening under the sun.
Yea, better {is he} than both they, which hath not yet been, who hath not seen the evil work that is done under the sun.
Again, I peeped the grind, and every legit hustle, yet for this, a dude catches mad jealousy from his neighbor. This is just pure vanity and stress, fr.
Again, I considered all travail, and every right work, that for this a man is envied of his neighbour. This {is} also vanity and vexation of spirit. {every...: Heb. all the rightness of work} {for this...: Heb. this is the envy of a man from his neighbour}
The fool just chills with his hands crossed, literally munching on his own struggles.
The fool foldeth his hands together, and eateth his own flesh.
Better to have a little peace than a whole lot of drama and stress, no cap.
Better {is} an handful {with} quietness, than both the hands full {with} travail and vexation of spirit.
Then I bounced back and noticed the emptiness under the sun.
Then I returned, and I saw vanity under the sun.
There’s one solo player, no crew; no kids or bros, yet he grinds hard and still ain't satisfied with his stacks; like, who am I doing this for? That’s also sus, straight up a hard grind.
There is one {alone}, and {there is} not a second; yea, he hath neither child nor brother: yet {is there} no end of all his labour; neither is his eye satisfied with riches; neither {saith he}, For whom do I labour, and bereave my soul of good? This {is} also vanity, yea, it {is} a sore travail.
Two are better than one; they score that good reward for their hustle.
Two {are} better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.
If one falls, the other’s got your back; but it's a savage situation if you’re solo when you fall, 'cause no one’s there to lift you up.
For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him {that is} alone when he falleth; for {he hath} not another to help him up.
Plus, if two are cuddled up, they stay warm; but how’s one gonna stay warm solo?
Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm {alone}?
If one gets taken down, two can stand strong together; and a threefold cord? That’s goated, not breaking easily.
And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
Better to be a wise kid from the bottom than an old, foolish king who won’t listen anymore.
Better {is} a poor and a wise child than an old and foolish king, who will no more be admonished. {who...: Heb. who knoweth not to be admonished}
He comes out of prison to rule; meanwhile, the one born in privilege ends up struggling.
For out of prison he cometh to reign; whereas also {he that is} born in his kingdom becometh poor.
I checked out all the living under the sun, with the next kid ready to take the throne.
I considered all the living which walk under the sun, with the second child that shall stand up in his stead.
There’s no end to all the peeps, even those who came before; those coming after won’t be celebrating either. For real, this is also vanity and stress, periodt.
{There is} no end of all the people, {even} of all that have been before them: they also that come after shall not rejoice in him. Surely this also {is} vanity and vexation of spirit.
