Acts Chapter 18
So after everything, Paul dipped from Athens and cruised over to Corinth;
After these things Paul departed from Athens, and came to Corinth;
He peeped this dude Aquila, a Jew from Pontus, just back from Italy with his wifey Priscilla; (Claudius was on a wild flex, booting all the Jews outta Rome) and linked up with them.
And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome:) and came unto them.
Since they were all in the same hustle, he vibed with them and worked; they were tentmakers, no cap.
And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers.
Every Sabbath, he was in the synagogue dropping knowledge and convincing both the Jews and Greeks.
And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.
When Silas and Timmy rolled in from Macedonia, Paul was feeling the vibe and preached to the Jews that Jesus was the truth, the Christ.
And when Silas and Timotheus were come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews {that} Jesus {was} Christ. {was Christ: or, is the Christ}
When they threw shade and clowned him, he shook off his clothes and said, "Y'all do you; I'm clean. From now on, it's all about the Gentiles."
And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook {his} raiment, and said unto them, Your blood {be} upon your own heads; I {am} clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.
He bounced over to this guy Justus’s place, who was totally about God, and his crib was right next to the synagogue.
And he departed thence, and entered into a certain {man's} house, named Justus, {one} that worshipped God, whose house joined hard to the synagogue.
Crispus, the top dog of the synagogue, believed in the Lord along with his whole fam; a bunch of Corinthians heard and got baptized, fr.
And Crispus, the chief ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing believed, and were baptized.
Then the Lord hit Paul up in a night vision, saying, "Don’t be shook, just keep speaking, and don’t stay silent."
Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace:
"I got your back, no one’s gonna mess with you, 'cause I’ve got a whole crew in this city."
For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.
He was there for a year and a half, sharing the word of God with the squad.
And he continued {there} a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them. {continued there: Gr. sat there}
When Gallio was the big cheese in Achaia, all the Jews came at Paul together, bringing him to the judge's seat, no cap.
And when Gallio was the deputy of Achaia, the Jews made insurrection with one accord against Paul, and brought him to the judgment seat,
They were like, "This dude is getting folks to worship God in a way that’s sus."
Saying, This {fellow} persuadeth men to worship God contrary to the law.
Just when Paul was about to speak, Gallio turned to the Jews and said, "If this was about some shady biz, I’d listen, fr."
And when Paul was now about to open {his} mouth, Gallio said unto the Jews, If it were a matter of wrong or wicked lewdness, O {ye} Jews, reason would that I should bear with you:
"But if you're just squabbling over words and laws, that's on you; I ain't judging that."
But if it be a question of words and names, and {of} your law, look ye {to it}; for I will be no judge of such {matters}.
Then he kicked them out of the judge's seat, savage move.
And he drave them from the judgment seat.
The Greeks straight up grabbed Sosthenes, the head dude of the synagogue, and beat him up right there. Gallio didn’t care, periodt.
Then all the Greeks took Sosthenes, the chief ruler of the synagogue, and beat {him} before the judgment seat. And Gallio cared for none of those things.
After that, Paul chilled for a bit longer, then dipped to Syria with Priscilla and Aquila, fresh cut in Cenchrea since he had a vow.
And Paul {after this} tarried {there} yet a good while, and then took his leave of the brethren, and sailed thence into Syria, and with him Priscilla and Aquila; having shorn {his} head in Cenchrea: for he had a vow.
He rolled into Ephesus and left them there, but he hit up the synagogue to reason with the Jews.
And he came to Ephesus, and left them there: but he himself entered into the synagogue, and reasoned with the Jews.
When they wanted him to stay longer, he was like, "Nah, I’m good."
When they desired {him} to tarry longer time with them, he consented not;
He said peace out, “I gotta hit this feast in Jerusalem, but I’ll be back if God’s down.” Then he bounced from Ephesus.
But bade them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep this feast that cometh in Jerusalem: but I will return again unto you, if God will. And he sailed from Ephesus.
When he touched down in Cesarea, he showed love to the church and then dipped to Antioch.
And when he had landed at Caesarea, and gone up, and saluted the church, he went down to Antioch.
Chilling there for a hot minute, he took off and cruised through Galatia and Phrygia, leveling up the disciples.
And after he had spent some time {there}, he departed, and went over {all} the country of Galatia and Phrygia in order, strengthening all the disciples.
Then a Jew named Apollos showed up, straight outta Alexandria, super eloquent and rizzed up in the scriptures, who hit Ephesus.
And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, {and} mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.
This dude was schooled in the Lord’s ways; he was hyped and taught the things of God, but only knew John’s baptism.
This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.
He started preaching boldly in the synagogue, and when Aquila and Priscilla caught wind, they pulled him in and schooled him on God’s ways even better.
And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto {them}, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.
When he was ready to roll to Achaia, the bros wrote to the disciples, hyping them up to welcome him; once he showed up, he helped so many who believed through grace.
And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him: who, when he was come, helped them much which had believed through grace:
He totally convinced the Jews, going hard in public, showing them in the scriptures that Jesus was the Christ.
For he mightily convinced the Jews, {and that} publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ. {Christ: or, is the Christ}
