Acts Chapter 11
So the apostles and their crew in Judea peeped that the Gentiles were getting the word of God too. Vibes.
And the apostles and brethren that were in Judaea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.
When Peter pulled up to Jerusalem, the folks all hyped about circumcision were lowkey beefing with him.
And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they that were of the circumcision contended with him,
They were like, "You straight up went to uncircumcised peeps and ate with them, no cap!"
Saying, Thou wentest in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them.
Peter, though, broke it down from the get-go, laying it out for them, saying,
But Peter rehearsed {the matter} from the beginning, and expounded {it} by order unto them, saying,
"I was chilling in Joppa, praying, when I had this crazy vision—peeped a vessel coming down, like a massive sheet, straight from heaven by four corners; it landed right in front of me."
I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me:
When I locked eyes on it, I saw all sorts of four-legged animals, wild beasts, creepy crawlies, and birds swooping through the air.
Upon the which when I had fastened mine eyes, I considered, and saw fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
Then a voice called out to me, "Yo, Peter; get up, slay, and chow down!"
And I heard a voice saying unto me, Arise, Peter; slay and eat.
But I was like, "Nah, Lord; I ain't eating anything common or unclean, fr."
But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth.
The voice shot back from heaven, "What God has cleaned up, don’t you call common."
But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, {that} call not thou common.
This went down three times, then everything got pulled back up into heaven.
And this was done three times: and all were drawn up again into heaven.
So, like, outta the blue, three dudes showed up at my place, sent from Cesarea, no cap.
And, behold, immediately there were three men already come unto the house where I was, sent from Caesarea unto me.
The spirit was like, "Roll with them, no doubt," and I had six homies with me as we stepped into the guy's spot.
And the Spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered into the man's house:
He laid it out for us, saying he saw an angel in his crib, telling him, "Send peeps to Joppa, and hit up Simon, aka Peter."
And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter;
He's gonna drop some truth that’ll save you and your whole crew.
Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.
As I started to speak, the Holy Ghost just dropped on them, just like it did with us at the jump.
And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.
Then it hit me what the Lord said, how John was all about that water baptism, but we’re getting baptized with the Holy Ghost, fr.
Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.
Since God hooked them up with the same gift as us who believed in Jesus, like, who am I to front on God?
Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as {he did} unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?
When they heard this, they were shook and praised God, saying, "God's also giving the Gentiles a chance to vibe with life."
When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.
The ones scattered by the chaos around Stephen went all the way to Phenice, Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching only to the Jews, savage.
Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.
Some of them were from Cyprus and Cyrene, and when they hit Antioch, they started preaching about the Lord Jesus to the Grecians.
And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus.
The Lord was totally vibing with them, and a whole bunch of peeps believed and turned to the Lord, no cap.
And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.
News got back to the church in Jerusalem, and they were like, "Yo, send Barnabas to Antioch, ASAP."
Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.
When he showed up and saw God's grace, he was hyped and told everyone to stick with the Lord for real.
Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.
Dude was a solid guy, full of the Holy Spirit and faith, and a whole squad joined the Lord because of him.
For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord.
Then Barnabas bounced to Tarsus to find Saul, bet.
Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul:
When he found him, he brought him to Antioch. They kicked it with the church for a whole year, teaching a lot of peeps. That’s when they first called the disciples Christians in Antioch.
And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. {with...: or, in the church}
During those days, prophets rolled in from Jerusalem to Antioch.
And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch.
One of them, Agabus, stood up and said by the Spirit that a major famine was coming worldwide, which hit during Claudius Caesar's reign.
And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.
So the disciples, each according to their vibe, decided to send help to their folks in Judea.
Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea:
And they actually did it, sending it to the elders through Barnabas and Saul.
Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.
