Acts Chapter 10
So there was this dude in Caesarea, Cornelius, a centurion from the Italian crew, no cap.
There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian {band},
He was a solid guy, feared God with his whole fam, dropped mad charity for the squad, and prayed to God nonstop, fr.
{A} devout {man}, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.
Around 3 PM, he had a vision and peeped an angel roll up saying, "Yo Cornelius."
He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.
He was shook and said, "What’s good, Lord?" The angel replied, "Your prayers and your charity are hitting different in God’s eyes."
And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.
"Now send some peeps to Joppa to fetch Simon, also known as Peter."
And now send men to Joppa, and call for {one} Simon, whose surname is Peter:
"He’s crashing with Simon the tanner, whose crib is by the beach. He’ll spill the tea you need."
He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do.
Once the angel dipped, Cornelius hit up two of his homies and a devout soldier who always had his back.
And when the angel which spake unto Cornelius was departed, he called two of his household servants, and a devout soldier of them that waited on him continually;
He shared the deets with them and sent them off to Joppa.
And when he had declared all {these} things unto them, he sent them to Joppa.
The next day, while they were on their grind getting close to the city, Peter went up to the roof to pray around noon.
On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:
He got mega hungry and was about to chow down, but as they were cooking, he zoned out in a trance.
And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,
He peeped heaven opening up, and a dope vibe like a giant sheet coming down, all knit at the corners, landing on Earth.
And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
Inside were all sorts of four-legged animals, wild beasts, creepy crawlies, and birds soaring high.
Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
Then a voice popped off, "Yo, Peter; rise up, kill, and munch."
And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
Peter was like, "Nah, Lord; I’ve never eaten anything that’s sus or unclean."
But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
The voice hit him up again, "What God has cleaned, don’t call it sus."
And the voice {spake} unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, {that} call not thou common.
This went down three times before the vibe shot back up to heaven.
This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.
While Peter was low-key confused about this vision, Cornelius’ homies were at Simon’s crib, chillin' by the gate.
Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had made enquiry for Simon's house, and stood before the gate,
They hollered, asking if Simon, aka Peter, was staying there.
And called, and asked whether Simon, which was surnamed Peter, were lodged there.
While Peter was deep in thought about the vision, the Spirit was like, "Ayo, three dudes are looking for you."
While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.
So slide down, get with them, and roll out; I sent them your way, no cap.
Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them.
Peter bounced down to the homies sent by Cornelius and said, "Yo, I’m the one you're after. What’s the vibe?"
Then Peter went down to the men which were sent unto him from Cornelius; and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what {is} the cause wherefore ye are come?
They replied, "Cornelius, the centurion, is a legit dude who fears God and has mad respect from all the Jews. An angel hit him up from God to call you to his spot and hear what you gotta say."
And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.
Peter said, "Come on in," and kicked it with them. The next day, he rolled out with them, and some bros from Joppa went along.
Then called he them in, and lodged {them}. And on the morrow Peter went away with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him.
The next day, they rolled up to Caesarea. Cornelius was waiting and had gathered his fam and close friends.
And the morrow after they entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius waited for them, and had called together his kinsmen and near friends.
When Peter walked in, Cornelius met him, dropped to his feet, and worshipped him.
And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped {him}.
But Peter was like, "Chill, fam; I’m just a dude like you."
But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.
As they chatted, he went inside and saw loads of people gathered.
And as he talked with him, he went in, and found many that were come together.
He told them, "You know it’s sus for a Jewish dude to hang with or roll up to someone from another nation, but God showed me I shouldn’t call anyone common or unclean."
And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
So I came to you without hesitation as soon as I got the invite. What’s the reason for me being here?
Therefore came I {unto you} without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent for: I ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me?
Cornelius replied, "Four days ago, I was fasting until now, and at the ninth hour, I prayed in my crib, and boom, a dude in bright threads stood in front of me."
And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,
Yo, Cornelius, your prayers hit hard, and God’s vibin’ with your good deeds.
And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.
So roll over to Joppa and hit up Simon, aka Peter; he’s chillin’ at Simon the tanner’s spot by the beach. When he rolls up, he’ll drop knowledge on you.
Send therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, whose surname is Peter; he is lodged in the house of {one} Simon a tanner by the sea side: who, when he cometh, shall speak unto thee.
I straight up sent for you, and you showed up, which is lit. We’re all gathered here to catch what God wants you to share.
Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou art come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to hear all things that are commanded thee of God.
Then Peter opened his mouth and said, “No cap, I see that God doesn’t play favorites.”
Then Peter opened {his} mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
But for real, in every nation, if you fear Him and do good, you’re accepted by Him.
But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
The message God sent to the Israelites was all about peace through Jesus Christ: he’s the GOAT of all time.
The word which {God} sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)
You know the word I’m talking about; it spread all over Judea and kicked off in Galilee after John was out here baptizing.
That word, {I say}, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;
God gave Jesus of Nazareth the Holy Spirit and mad power; he was out here doing good and healing everyone who was down and out because God was with him.
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
We're witnesses to everything he did in the Jewish lands and in Jerusalem; they took him out and hung him on a tree.
And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:
But God brought him back to life on the third day and showed him off to everyone.
Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;
Not to everyone, but to the squad God picked, like us who vibed with Him after He rose from the dead.
Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, {even} to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.
He told us to preach to the people and spill the tea that He’s the one God picked to judge the living and the dead.
And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God {to be} the Judge of quick and dead.
All the prophets back Him up, saying anyone who believes in His name gets their sins wiped clean, no cap.
To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
While Peter was still sharing, the Holy Ghost dropped on everyone who heard the word, straight up.
While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
The believers from the circumcision were shook, 'cause even the Gentiles got the Holy Ghost vibes poured out on them too.
And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
They heard them speaking in tongues and hyping up God. Then Peter was like,
For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
Can anyone stop these peeps from getting baptized since they got the Holy Ghost just like us?
Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
He told them to get baptized in the name of the Lord. Then they asked him to chill for a few days.
And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.
