Zechariah Chapter 13
So on that day, a fountain's gonna spring up for the squad in David's crib and the homies in Jerusalem to wash away their sins and chaos.
In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness. {uncleanness: Heb. separation for uncleanness}
God literally said it’s gonna be lit, that I’ll erase all those idol names from the land, and they’ll be history: plus, I’ll make the prophets and the sus spirits bounce.
And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, {that} I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.
When anyone steps up to prophesy, their fam's gonna be like, “Nah, you can’t live; you’re capping in the Lord’s name,” and they’ll straight up take him out while he’s spitting that nonsense.
And it shall come to pass, {that} when any shall yet prophesy, then his father and his mother that begat him shall say unto him, Thou shalt not live; for thou speakest lies in the name of the LORD: and his father and his mother that begat him shall thrust him through when he prophesieth.
Things are gonna hit different on that day; the prophets will feel hella embarrassed about their visions, and they won't rock those rough clothes to fool anyone.
And it shall come to pass in that day, {that} the prophets shall be ashamed every one of his vision, when he hath prophesied; neither shall they wear a rough garment to deceive: {a rough...: Heb. a garment of hair} {deceive: Heb. lie}
But he’ll be like, “I ain't no prophet, I’m just a farmer; folks taught me to handle cows since I was a kiddo.”
But he shall say, I {am} no prophet, I {am} an husbandman; for man taught me to keep cattle from my youth.
Someone’s gonna ask him, “What’s good with those wounds on your hands?” And he’ll hit them with, “These are from when my homies did me dirty.”
And {one} shall say unto him, What {are} these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, {Those} with which I was wounded {in} the house of my friends.
So wake up, sword, against my homie, the shepherd, says the Lord: take out the shepherd, and the crew will scatter: I’m gonna turn my hand on the little ones.
Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man {that is} my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.
It’s gonna get wild, says the Lord; two-thirds of the land's gonna get chopped off and disappear; but a third will hold it down.
And it shall come to pass, {that} in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off {and} die; but the third shall be left therein.
I’ll take that third through the fire, refine them like silver, and test them like gold: they’ll call on my name, and I’ll hear them: I’ll say, “They’re my crew,” and they’ll say, “The Lord is my God.”
And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It {is} my people: and they shall say, The LORD {is} my God.
