Zechariah Chapter 12
The message from the Lord hits different for Israel, for real; He’s the one who spread out the heavens and set down the Earth, plus He vibes the spirit in every soul.
The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.
I’m about to make Jerusalem a total vibe check for all the nations, while they’re under pressure against Judah and the city.
Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah {and} against Jerusalem. {trembling: or, slumber, or, poison} {when...: or, and also against Judah shall he be which shall be in siege against Jerusalem}
On that day, I’m turning Jerusalem into a heavy stone for all the homies: anyone trying to lift it is gonna get wrecked, even if the whole world bands together.
And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
On that day, the Lord’s gonna trip every horse out there and make its rider lose it: I’ll be watching over Judah and make every horse go blind.
In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness.
The leaders of Judah will deep down realize that the people of Jerusalem are their vibe, straight from the Lord of Hosts.
And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem {shall be} my strength in the LORD of hosts their God. {The inhabitants...: or, There is strength to me and to the inhabitants, etc}
On that day, I’ll make Judah’s leaders fire vibes among the crowd, like a dope torch; they’ll burn through everyone around them, and Jerusalem will find its spot again.
In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, {even} in Jerusalem.
The Lord’s gonna save Judah first, so the glory of David’s crib and the people of Jerusalem don’t flex too hard against Judah.
The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify {themselves} against Judah.
That day, the Lord’s got Jerusalem’s back; even the weakest among them will vibe like David, and David’s house will be as strong as God, like the angel of the Lord chillin' with them.
In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David {shall be} as God, as the angel of the LORD before them. {feeble: or, abject: Heb. fallen}
It’s gonna go down on that day; I’ll be hunting all the nations coming for Jerusalem.
And it shall come to pass in that day, {that} I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
I’ll pour out the spirit of grace and prayers on David’s crib and the people of Jerusalem; they’ll look at me, the one they pierced, and feel that deep sorrow, like losing their only son, no cap.
And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for {his} only {son}, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for {his} firstborn.
That day, Jerusalem’s gonna see some serious mourning, like the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the Megiddo valley.
In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.
The land’s gonna mourn, every fam doing their own thing; David’s house will be separate, with their wives; Nathan’s house will be separate, with their wives too;
And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart; {every...: Heb. families, families}
Levi’s house will be separate, with their wives; Shimei’s house will be separate, with their wives;
The family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of Shimei apart, and their wives apart; {of Shimei: or, of Simeon, as LXX}
All the remaining families will be separate, every fam doing their own thing, and their wives apart.
All the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.
