Romans Chapter 6
So, what’s the deal? Should we keep on sinning so grace can flex?
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
Nah dude, that’s super sus. How can we, who are dead to sin, still be living in it?
God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Y’all know that when we got dunked in Jesus, we were basically submerged into his death, right?
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? {were: or, are}
So we’re buried with him through that baptism into death; just like Christ bounced back from the dead, we should be vibing in a new life.
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
If we’re rooted with him like he was dead, we’re also gonna come back up like he did, no cap.
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also {in the likeness} of {his} resurrection:
For real, our old selves were nailed with him so the body of sin can be totally destroyed, and we don’t have to serve sin anymore.
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with {him}, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
For the one who’s dead is completely free from sin, fr.
For he that is dead is freed from sin. {freed: Gr. justified}
If we’re dead alongside Christ, we believe we’ll also vibe with him, periodt.
Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
Knowing that Christ, raised from the dead, will never die again; death has no vibe over him.
Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
He died once for sin, but now he’s living it large for God, that’s dope.
For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
So, consider yourselves dead to sin but alive to God through Jesus Christ our Lord, that’s the move.
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Don’t let sin dominate your mortal body; don’t be following those cravings, that’s just savage.
Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
Don’t offer your members to sin as instruments for wickedness; instead, give yourselves to God, like you’re alive from the dead, and your members as instruments for righteousness.
Neither yield ye your members {as} instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members {as} instruments of righteousness unto God. {instruments: Gr. arms, or, weapons}
Sin isn’t gonna rule over you; you’re not under the law, you’re under grace, that’s facts.
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
So, what’s popping? Should we sin since we’re under grace and not the law? Nah, God’s not with that.
What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
Don’t you know that whoever you submit to obey, that’s who you belong to? Whether it’s sin leading to death or obedience leading to righteousness.
Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
But huge shoutout to God, you were servants of sin but you’ve really listened from the heart to the truth you got.
But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. {which...: Gr. whereto ye were delivered}
Now that you’re free from sin, you’re all about righteousness, that’s how we do it.
Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
I’m just saying this ‘cause I see y’all struggle with the flesh: you used to give your parts to sin and bad vibes, now give your parts to righteousness and goodness.
I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
When you were serving sin, you were free from righteousness, that’s the tea.
For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. {from...: Gr. to righteousness}
What good stuff did you get from those things you’re now feeling ashamed about? The end of that is death, no cap.
What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things {is} death.
But now that you’re free from sin and serving God, your vibe is holiness, and the ultimate goal is eternal life.
But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
The payment for sin is death, but the gift from God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord, that's straight fire.
For the wages of sin {is} death; but the gift of God {is} eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
